An interesting journey. If it is a human one in all very few cases, it is only one sperm that wins the race. It is also an issue of luck as to which fallopian tube they take. Read about evolution as well and survival of the fittest which winds out overtime over luck

Truth in poem! Wonderful write. It really captures the beauty and miracle of procreation! Against all odds...the joining together to make life. Beautiful job, Tobani! An easy fave for me! 🌹👏

Now that’s the story of my beginnings, a quite unplanned pregnancy on my mum’s part. My dad did the responsible thing and stayed, for a while and 4 children later moved on to more “love”-filled relationship. The waypoint out. It makes me realise how amazing that journey was, conception, having partaken but not having any memory of it.

A reality that\'s is worth the reflection, bringing a child in the world, it is the job of every parent to teach our children the positives of life not the negatives that spread the hate and greed that is currently hurting us all. I\'m not sure what the next chapter of the Trump administration will do for good, but we are all waiting to find out, I personally have little hope. ❤️

Boy I don\'t know how I missed this Tobani, but you and I are seeing this holiday very much through the same lens. A very compelling call to action that I hope many people read. I am glad to see it trending, which is what drew me to it! ❤️🙏

Half the world in conflict and the suffering brings shame on our species, it is always the innocent children who are caught up in the warmongering. If they survive, however do they live with the horrors. A hard hitting write Tobani.

No responsible parent should produce a child into a world where there is no hope of their offspring ever reaching their full potential.

A most disturbing poem about the innocence of children and how they are affected by the world around them. It also seems a metaphor for people in general that are helpless under the actions of governments that control their lives. Very nicely written.

The innocence of childhood is often punctuated by their exposure to its pain and injustice. Children are a symbol of all people’s helplessness under governments, ulterior motives, and unjust actions. Very nicely written.

The true meaning of Christmas has long gone. It has now become so commercialized it is a worry for many families, how they will get by. A time of over indulgence when there is so much suffering and poverty and loneliness in the world. A fabulous write. Your lines flow beautifully and you get the message across. Well done.

You have hit on the head the very issue of Christmas. It should be a time of giving not receiving and yet in our consumer society all we think of is what we can get. A lovely poem that expresses the true spirit of Christmas.

Wonderful write! I have a very eclectic ear and, truth be told, was listening to a lot of 60s and 70s music back in July. The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, ABBA, Donna Sommer, The Carpenters, Donovan, The Beatles, The Stones, Queen, Black Sabbath (of course), Neil Diamond, Chic, The Young Rascals, etc...had a whole playlist going! All this to say, well done my friend and thank you for bringing back my own memories of the summer and great music!
