A beautiful poem of memories those pastels of the past and paint the present in brilliant colors. A wonderful poem my friend. I was caught by the difference in format between the languages that leaves the Spanish in shorter lines. There is a different feel from this somehow.

Although this can be taken literally, I believe it is a metaphor. A metaphor for those people who can live amongst others even in crowded or dirty situations and still express joy. Very nicely written.

Bustillos I prefer that first English translation in that it has more raw power and feeling to it. The second seems more polished but to me in poetry polish is not always the best. The Spanish version is my favorite of all. It packs a punch and has the power of word sound. Loved them all. Very nicely done
