The Yakima\'s Measured Grace

Lived in Oklahoma for over four years, went to Yakima to shop from time to time and this poem seems to fit well the land I knew. Beautiful images and wonderful rhyme with a poem that flows like the river. Lovely and a fave

The Ballad of the Dragon\'s Envy and the Water Bear\'s Grin

I love how you have welded reality and myth to illustrate the unbelievable qualities of one of nature\'s wonders. It seems to defy reason but is one of the most resilient life forms. Well rhymed and in good verse it tells its story in a fairytale fashion. Nicely done

Most all things start small and here in this treaties of poetic line it develops into a nightmare beyond proportion. Fully laid out in minute detail this write describes a terrible situation to be avoided from the beginning.

This poem builds with its lines. It speaks to the reader and keeps attention by directing focus on promised building power. A lovely write.

I loved this poem that like all poems are so personal and intimate it reveals itself slowly, seductively and in a first person voice. It speaks to the reader in shyness and humility. Such a great personification of a piece of writing. Absolutely lovely a fave

Bonfires at the Edge of Fear
sorenbarrett said:
We are all marked by our past. This poem is haunting, a bit dark, powerful and echoes of those that are no longer here can be heard in the crackling of the flames, their whispers call out from the shadows of the night. A most lovely and wistful poem edged with a bit of trepidation.

The Mirror and the Union
sorenbarrett said:
Loved the beginning of this poem in regard to relationships and the codependence that exists between couples that define their side as positive and virtuous but do not see the whole and the problems in such. As the poem develops and problems work out it is a blueprint for how things would ideally work out. Nicely done.
