The Verse Unknown
Kurt Philip Behm said:
Again, very kind. I wrote my first poem in 5th grade (1959),
and it all seemed natural. Like you, I really dislike the echo\'s
or mimicked voices of those who have gone before.
I just got a call from a movie studio about one of my books
(Revenge Along The War Trail). They were interested in movie
rights. When I asked what they liked about it the most they said...
\"This may sound trite, but we do a google search on originality,
and your book came up as 98% original both in plot and in storyline.
Finding any author who is above 95% is rare.\"
I had never heard of such a thing.
I feel like we\'ve known each other a long time.
Thanks again!

Love expressed poetically , fostered by the likes of Eliot, Thoreau, Hemingway, et al. Is this what I see here? Experiencing the words/wisdom of the great poets lea s to better expression of our own emotions. Well, that\'s what I thought reading this. Smooth and beautiful as always. _ Phil A.

Life in the fast lane can be terribly hectic, it\'s time to \"slow down\", to get off \"the treadmill,\" and live life to its fullest, before that \"final rush.\" That\'s what I got reading this. Beautifully presented. - Phil A.

Pure muscle in that car (and in your words). My best friend had a
\'Dodge Super Bee\' back in the 70\'s that we went WAY too fast in.
Thanks as always.

1. Your poetry is heaven sent, at least for me. I will take some of it back with me if I am allowed through the gates.
2. Just a thought-- perhaps you long to play
3. Yes to corruption and intention. I take it that the Devil, a fallen angel can be carried off and dealt with.
Inspiring.

Three terrific poems. My Fav is the second. I like the uplifting message of continuation, father to son. The first I liked too, being free enough to choose our own fate. And we all know the Devil is a liar.
Three poems that deliver these messages uniquely and beautifully. Compliments to the poet. - Phil A.

Sleep, with haunting dreams of repressed emotions one thought were gone, can be terrifying. However, converting it skillfully to poetic verse can be even more painful. Here though, you have beautifully crafted a mesmerizing tale of ghostly visitation. This was excellent. - Phil A.

The Lions Roar
Kurt Philip Behm said:
I can feel your loss. At my age, I\'ve experienced many; but not the one that you have. I have always believed that the strength/truth lies in the question (and the questioner) and not the answer.
Answers seem to change, but there\'s a timelessness to the questions ... As Poets, we are charged with their care.
As I said before ... You (and Michelle) are in my daily Rosary!

Your Song Has Sung
MendedFences27 said:
All valid questions to pose to any writer. I suppose it takes a degree of courage to put your heart on display. We internally struggle to find the perfect word, the right tone, the meter, and then we let it fly to the grist mill of the world. Somehow there is a reward to these self-inflicted wounds, the appreciation of the beauty in what we\'ve created. I find this poem to be beautiful. - Phil A.
