Kurt,

This poem is the ultimate for me…especially now. I’ve been reading your work for five years. Journeying through your poetry, your comments, and the characters in your novels, I’ve realized that when…

‘Climbing the mountain,
never look down
focus above you
reach for the crown
Others who failed
and others to come
will follow the tracks
—that lead zero sum’

Thank you for sharing your pen.🙏🏻

Kurt,

‘Every voice needs an ear
for it to be free

Every writer, a reader,
or the words cease to be’

Heeding these words from a wise and sagacious Poet uplifts, motivates and energizes the will to read and appreciate poetry.

Kurt,

A great poem highlighting ‘ancient sounds’.
I read it once and then…
I closed my eyes and those ancient sounds became alive especially when I read
‘A wagon wheel across the stones’.
I heard another ancient sound…
the deafening sound of the approaching hobnailed Roman army. Wow!

Kurt,

Your ‘Dreamsleep’ is most intriguing.

‘can words do more than wait’

Hmmm 🤔…
an interesting query.

Kurt,

I spy a challenge in your first-rate poem; here’s my feeble attempt to your challenge…

A poet I am not,
a dreamer I am
today’s regrets are
tomorrow’s satisfactions

Thank you for sharing, my dear Poet.
