Godel Was Right (+1)
LaurašŸŒ» said:

Kurt,

ā€¢ ā€œGodel Was Rightā€

I was ā€˜introducedā€™ to Gƶdel by one of my professors in college! A fascinating man...to say the least!

ā€¢ ā€œNo Longer Freeā€

A truthful and intriguing write!
Read it more than once!
On my second read, I reversed the nouns and pronouns with the last couplet remaining unchanged!
Quite a read!!

Loved them both!

Prisoner Of Disguise (+1)
LaurašŸŒ» said:

Ah yes...Montmartre!!!

I had an apartment for a while on Rue Scribe and then stayed with an aunt on Rue Jean Brunet...Meudon for two years!

You plead innocent because they havenā€™t caught you yet! My lips are sealed! šŸ˜‰

Thanks Laura. I lived in Versailles for two summers when I was
road-racing motorcycles in Europe.

I used to spend my days off wandering around Monmartre, talking
to street artists, writers, and Mimes (the Mimes never talked back,
but I did get a few smiles from a pretty female once).

I was there the year the Palace was robbed. I still plead my innocence.

A magnificent read!

The words in your poem...
ā€˜frameā€™, ā€˜canvasā€™, ā€˜easel ā€˜, ā€˜Parisā€™(a very special place with a very special meaning for me)...
made me think of a painter who paints beautiful pictures!
You are like that painter who has the gift of being able to create beautiful art! The painter creates with a brush and paint. You create with your poetā€™s pen! You both have the ability to put on ā€˜canvasā€™ ā€˜picturesā€™ that bring so much joy to people! A gift not possessed by many!

I can see that your Muse is keeping you busy! Just read the additional postings after ā€œDylanā€™s Gardenā€!

Magnificence at its best...

This thought/image shall be with me throughout this arduous day!

I really enjoyed your poem. It\'s such a beautiful way to think about poetry \"-- a reconciliation of opposites ā€”awakening the dream\". According to the Romantic poets, the aim of the creative power of the imagination was to reconcile opposites. You express this beautifully in the poem (Whatā€™s true then false, / whatā€™s false conscripts). It made me think that there is such a thin line between truth and falsehood. But walking this thin line makes it all the more worth it because as you say \"Truth lies beyond computation, / perception aware of itself\". Thank you so much for the poem.

You are the master of words!

These words are at the top of the heap to quote...A quotable quote penned by the master!

Exceptional!

Kurt,

Super poems...
each and every one of them!

I will begin with my favorite...

ā€¢ ā€œFacing The Fireā€
It is my favorite because of my admiration and love for one of my favorite characters in your novel...CUTTY!
He is a warrior; and warriors need to be at war!
ā€˜He was once again at peace...
A Peace Only Proffered In Times Of Warā€™!

ā€¢ ā€œRotor Blades That Killā€
I totally agree with the message conveyed in this poem!

ā€˜The blanket that we spread
and fences we build

Imprison,
rather than defendā€™

...so, so true!

ā€¢ ā€œMiami Heatā€
Well...this one is hot, hot, hot...
Itā€™s onšŸ”„šŸ”„ šŸ”„!

ā€¢ ā€œVitaā€”Et Aliaā€
Et quod vita

ā€¢ ā€œInto The Lightā€
An insightful poem
by the one and only...
KPB!!

Awesome reads!!
