As your last couplet declares...
There are many times that I too wish not to let go of some of my dreams—especially those that are so special to me!

Thank you for sharing.

Take good care of yourself.

Left To Weather (+1)
Laura🌻 said:

Kurt,

Your poem reminded me of a certain happy time—teaching seven year olds.
Teaching Reading and Writing was my main focus. One of the lessons in the R&W unit was teaching homophones.
I decided to use the classic poem ā€œWhether the Weatherā€.

ā€˜Whether the Weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot,
We’ll weather the weather,
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not.’

It was a fun lesson. By the end of the unit, the students had memorized it. So we used it for the tongue twister lesson, reading comprehension, and of course the Poetry unit.

Thank you for sharing and reminding me of the happy faces of my seven year old students.
Happy memories for sure!
