That\'s it, love is truly blind. When we take off out blinkers and see what\'s around us, that\'s when we see things from a different perspective and can act on it accordingly. Thank you for your comment.

Very strong write, it is difficult to understand these type of relationships but they more common than is realised, our daughter was in a bad relationship, there was no physical abuse but the mental abuse was so profound, she did evetaully get away from him but the love was a harder thing to come to terms with.

Great piece of “confessional” poetry. Your readers might also benefit from the excellent resources posted on NAMI.

Refreshing to see something like this every now and then. A good write and something different for a change. Got a good laugh too...

Great message as someone who\'s fought this battle for many years before, I loved how you were able to put it in a way that could show people what the fight is like. Keep writing!

An exquisite loving write, Julie!
Being a mom myself, I sincerely appreciate this poem! You have succinctly penned and expressed a parent‘s unconditional love for their children! As parents, that is what we want for our children. A love they deserve!

This spoke to me on another level, so powerful and emotive! Made me really put myself in the shoes of someone going through this - I’ve never suffered myself but seen other people fight depression & they have my complete respect. Awesome write!

Such a beatific story with great rhyming. In a way I can relate to the woman at hand. I love that picture too!
