Thanks for your comments on my first submitted poem! I’m so new I can’t even figure out how to navigate this great space.
I usually write way too much. I send out poems via the mail. I wrote one for the Catholic Church and decided it was too dark to spoil this Pope’s optimism. So I then translated many spirit centered poems I wrote into Spanish and Italian. First international packet of poems! It goes out to the Vatican today. Keep writing and moving us all. Get published- you are that moving and write beautiful visual Art!

Thank you MLH. Such a kind comment again. I\'m glad you read this poem it\'s one of my personal......I wouldn\'t say favourites... but in my view this is as good as my writing ever got, where the wave broke if you like. Now I just tend to write about my own downward spiral. I like to keep myself anonymous also.

Thank again for reading and commenting

You need to get published to the world!
A gift of sensitized realism that touches the humanity coded in us and prompts the soul to listen deeply MLH

Syd,
My condolences for your friend’s son! A fine write, nonetheless!
Unfortunately, some “take the bend” way too young! I see the struggles by those who depend and are addicted to drugs. ( I volunteer at a rehab center) There’s such an epidemic! It’s horrible!

The read takes you on a trip.
And like many trips taken, there’s
Some beautiful things along the ride.

Very good write. The lines
\"These two souls will never be separated....
Only by death\"
need not be true as your Spirits will go on to eternity.

I think those of us who have often taken up residence with in the darkness, feel all emotions deeper than those who have not.
This makes us truly appreciate that light that someone brings to our lives.
Beautifully written tribute to the light of your darkness:)

Syd,
Loved reading your poem in its entirety; especially the lines, “She’s the rose, to my thorns...”, “She’s the mother to my children”...
A gem of a woman by your side that deserves that crown! An awesome tribute to your wife! Thank you for sharing the poem and the visual ( one of my favorite movies)!

Whoa! Good one.......... Bonnie to your Clyde. I spent oodles of time reading about them. There was a romantic side to their story for sure! (Let\'s ignore all the death and destruction though). But it makes a powerful comparison for your poem.

A fine write Syd. I\'m not human. I\'m half-human, half-guinea pig, as in my pic! Well, sometimes, in my mad moments I\'m inhuman! Are we all?! lol.

i think some tablets just cover up how we are feeling .. but what we need to do is face how we are truly feeling and heal from it , not simply be thrown a tablet , all it does is cover up what is really going on inside of ourselves

\'\' i\'ll just paper over the dam, Hide the cracks in the bricks \'\' i think anti - depressants can numb you to the point of not being able to let any of those emotions out , i know that , years and years ago, i was put on citalopram and after a few weeks i was like damn hell take me off them , mainly because i could no longer release tears, i could not cry even if i wanted to and it was numbing , i used to cry before on them then all of a sudden i am like i hate this i can\'t cry , i feel like a robot, really not nice . i am on a low dose of antidepressant now aswell as a low dose of anti-psychotic but i do cry at times , i think maybe in the past i was probably on a bit of a higher dose , anyhow . i understand what you are saying here, it can be quite scary to feel numb and unable to cry and then fearing that it will all just pour out of us, overwhelming , i am sure. this is very expressive and the ending lines are really great
