you have an instinctive talent for seamless rhythm,
though bleak in tone, their is real purpose and message to unearth for those willing to dig beyond the shock-value aesthetics,
you have showcased a glimpse at a very contemplative and empathetic Poet,

Oohh, I don\'t fancy licking them. I\'ll stay with using them for shaving only!
\'Crimson salt\' has me hiding behind the sofa shuddering at the thought.

Brian here ~ Good Evening Sid - Thanks for a very intriguing Poem. Loved the PIC we dont use that type of blade anymore we use three small blades embeded in Plastic @r 50 x the cost. The old type were very useful ! One of my Party Tricks used to be chewing Razor Blades & I never cut my mouth ! I agree with your premise - we do spend too much time trying to reconnect with the past ! However to live *WE must seize the Present* and move on ! Thanks for sharing - please check our site - Thanks

Very descriptive poem that completely captures the reader\'s emotions.

It is so refreshing to read poetry that doesn\'t include hackneyed language. :-)

A fine write Syd. Well, I only asked for a DVD tape in a shop, and they looked at me as if I was mad - or 5 million years old! lol.
They\'re not THAT old. They should get their finger out, and get some tapes in!

Humankind is broken.

Yet there could be hope?

Unlearn the toxic vision

Words like these may unteach us 🤗

Or shiny coal? I lost the plot. I put a friend\'s diamonds on me fire instead of coal, cos I had run out of coal. Couldn\'t see the harm in it, until me friend returned! lol.

Syd, this is simply outstanding. There is so much wisdom to be distilled from these few verses.

Communicating mind to mind is a phenomenal concept that we may all experience in a future life. :-)

Excellent write.

A good write Syd. She seems Kaleidoscopic and psychedelic (not necessarily meaning \'high\' on something).
Time for a lay down to recover, after those long words this time of day! lol.

Your fantasies come to life in this poem. I particularly loved the last verse, \"Will she make me blossom or will she make me scream.\"

I had those exact thoughts the first time I saw the tattoo sleeves. :-)

Great job!

Syd, this is an excellent poem, but such a sad commentary on what is becoming of humanity.

Yet, I could also substitute \"robot\" with someone who is diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Edit joints.

When I first started reading this poem bipolar disorder came to mind.

A forceful warning on drug-use and the fall that precedes flights to more danger - - love the chosen image Syd as it lays stress on the poem\'s strong phrases on false security.

Yes, Syd, the poem was quite enjoyable. The reader is able to feel every aspect of the journey you\'ve outlined in your stanzas.

What\'s great is the image you included of Icarus, makes us clearly understand that false sense of security you mentioned.

Thanks for posting. :)
