Rain of Forgiveness
dusk arising said:

I read the refreshing renewal rain can bring to our spirit. That dash from shelter to shelter in inappropriate clothes. Envigorating. Changes us a little somehow.

Natures tiny baptism on repeat perhaps?

J44,

Imagine to think of β€˜hitting raindrops’ as purifying the β€˜Little dark scars’...

These two quotable lines are exceptional!

β€˜Little dark scars within are purified
and painful past memories are healed;’...

A brilliant write!

Thank you for sharing!

We may talk to the trees even. The tricky bit is if they talk back to us, in human speech! Call the men in white coats then. heehee.

Nature...Friend
dusk arising said:

Just enter a woodland and quietly hug a tree. Put your arms around the large trunk and your cheek against the body of this wonderful creation. Feel the vibrations of it\'s life. Relate.

Yes your words are a reminder i need to walk in the woods again.

Humour and Age
dusk arising said:

Humour makes the world go around with the proviso that you can laugh at yourself - so many cannot and will take offence which is a shame.
Here in UK we pride ourselves with a quite sophisticated humour and we notice that many nationalities simply just don\'t get the joke which is a cause of mirth in itself.

Good to read your cheerful piece first thing for me today Joker.

Hi J44,

Lovely read. I can relate very much. There\'s definitely something magical and healing being outdoors beside nature.

I\'m with you J44 and humour is the light of life most of the time, but one day that last day will eventually arrive. Later than sooner though is a choice will mostly choos. A fine writ, my friend...

A Poem of Souls
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

BRIAN here ~ Good Evening DA ~ love the MUSIC very COOL ~ Love the poem very DEEP !
In essence we all EXIST ~ but @ diferent levels. We communicate with those on our level ~ OK !
We all seek the Meaning of Life and sometimes find it by giving & taking.
Paradoxically in Life we all move forward~ at the same rate ~ 24 hours per day. Howeverw we are all gaining in WISDOM but at very different rates ! Dementia causes People to move BACKWARDS. Standing Still is dangerous because ONE can STAGNATE ! I will retire in 2054 (@ 70) but I will see it a fresh opportunity to live again ! Some poeple grind to a halt when they retire ! Theyre not DEAD just STANDING STILL !

Blessings & Peace & Joy
Yours Brian & Angela

In Front of The Whole World
dusk arising said:

Sadly disunity also keeps the world rotating Joker. Along with murder, famine, war, carbon emissions and mid ocean islands of plastic waste.

When mankind is destroyed it will still be turning, just as it was before we arrived.

Where is world unity?

ANGELA here ! Thanks for sharing J44 - Love the Video - Love the Poem.
I have been working in NZ for over a Year now and in many respects I have felt more exposed. Fortunately the Profession of PHYSIOTHERAPY in NZ is the same as in the UK. I had 8 Years experienced when I came here. But I was different - in appearance (I am half-Spanish) - in accent (Middle Class English) - in attitude (Im a perfectionist and quite assertive) ! I felt the whole Hospital (Staff & Patients) were looking @ Me and assessing Me ! Added to that I was assigned Five Maori Students and I was personally resonsible for their *Hand on* Programme & success ! However it has been a Wonderful Life Changing experience and the whole Hospital are now on my side and are very very supportive. I retrospect the first three Months were difficult because Brain was so so far away and I also missed my Parents of Course. If you\'ve never experienced it - I can tell you - Things are very different - when you are *IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE WORLD* !

Blessings & Peace & Joy

Water Reflection
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

HI JOKER ~ Thanks for a very deep Poem. Photographs taken do present one with a PARADOX ~
especially if we invert them ! We then begin to ask the question ~ Is the Building in the Atmosphere or the Hydrosphere or both. What is more mind bending is if we stand close to the edge we see ourselves standing next to the inverted image. And if we enter a building on the edge of still water an observer would acctually see us enter the building under the water ~ AWESOME ! There is obviously more depth to this paradox than meets the eye !

Blessings & Peace & Perception

Unknown Call of The Tree
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

BRIAN here ~ THANKS FOR SHARING JOKER ~ What you are experiencing is a Primeaval urge to return to Nature and the forest ! Thousands of years ago we were Hunter Gathers living in Harmony with Nature and part of the Fauna and sharing in the Natural Life Cycles. As urban Man we have built our own Artificial Concrete World apart from Nature ! We get our water from taps (not streams & springs) Food from Supamarkets (not the Fields & Forest) Energy from Fossil Fuels & Electricity and our homes are Manmade Bricks and not wood & plants & clay. We are no longer part of Nature ! I have visited Africa & South & Central America and some People still do live symbiotically with Nature ! The tragedy is through URBANISATION (now > 50%) and INDUSTRIALISATION H.Sapiens is destroying the PLANET ! See My Poem yesterday POLLUTION SOLUTION ! I am fortunate ~ there is a Public Woodland & Lake 5 minutes walk for my Flat so in 10 minutes I can be in a *Natural Forest* communing with the Sights & Sounds and Creatures of Nature and in the Morning & Evening very few People. It is open 24/7 and safe for a Grown Man. I am a Queens Scout so have spent many weeks camping in remote corners of the UK and living (almost literally) off the land and cooking over *open log fires* AMEN !

Who hath smelt wood smoke @ twilight ?
Who hath heard the birch logs burning ?
Who is quick to read ~ the noises of the night ?
Let Him follow with the others
Where the Young Mens feet are turning
To the camps of known desire
And proved delight !
HIAWATHA !

Thanks for caring & Sharing
Love the MUSIC & the POEM !

Gym or Park? I\'ll Say \'Park\'
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

GREAT POEM JOKER ~ Extolling the virtues of a Natural Park over a Man-made Gym ! Angela & I differ on this ! Im a Conservationist and I love the diversity of Flora & Fauna in a Park or a Woodland. You only get sweaty Humans in a GYM and the odd insect ! Angela of course ~ being a PHYSIO ~ is very much into Exercise Therapy in the Gym & the Pool ! Especially for Clients with Sports Injuries whereas I like to get my Students into the Countryside & the Coast. Please check our Poem today about Pollution ~ Thanks.

I\'d Rather Be A Clown!
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

Thanks JOKER for sharing your true self in this revealing Poem ! I agree about BEES they are paradoxical ! Funny in their Rugby Shirts and produce a perfect sweetner (HONEY) but always (when you least expect it) a sting in the tail ! Clowns are not like that ! In the main they are WYSIWYG ! When one strips off the paint ~ the costume ~ the hat & wig and size 20 shoes ther is a Guy or Gal who really wants to make people laff ~ by fair means ~ jokes or foul (a froth gun etc). I work in FE & HE and there is plenty of opportunity to be KEN DODD (I am a Scouser) How else can you teach Science to Apprentice Hairdressers without a few JOKES and FUNNY DEMONSTRATIONS ~ I love to make them LAFF !
A teacher once wrote on my report *His tendancy to act soft will be his undoing !* and it often has. But I would rather die laffing and making others laff than being known as *A Miserable Bu**er* Laff and the World Laffs with you ~ Cry and you soon lose your audience. I getting lots of nice cards (and presents !) @ Chistmas from my Students saying Im the FUNNIEST TEACHER they have ever had ! I take that asa complement !

KEEEEEEEEP CLOWNING !

I\'d Rather Be A Clown!
dusk arising said:

The trouble with being a clown - and believe me i am writing this from self knowledge - is that people are all too aware of the \"tears of a clown\" syndrome. To most the clown is a facade behind which resides what? - well they just don\'t know do they. That can be a barrier.

You and me are living proof that behind our jokey clown exterior resides a sensitive personality with all kinds of talent that we are maybe rather too shy to show to the world in general.... hence we adopt a clown facade.

I hope i\'m not too far off the mark.
