A Prayer (Havasupai tribe)
queer-with-a-pen said:

‘Make me always the same as I am now’ is very powerful stuff, my friend! Feels like a counter to ‘remember me as I was not as I am.’ Like reveling in all that makes up a person, be it good or bad

Senryu
Michael Edwards said:

Great 575 - reminds me of one of mine:
a rock shining wet
unseen by upward gazing
stumble in the dark

Senryu
L. B. Mek said:

maybe, we share that same
obstinate, brain
cos mine too, watches-on
blankly
as other\'s, all around me
morph
tempered, by the weathering
of Time
into carbonised deposits
of wisdom\'s, worth...
(a wonderfully relatable shorty
like how you kept to senryu\'s origins
by matching your topic
to your chosen form and wording, as well)
thanks for sharing
and Happy New Year! dear poet

wonderfully subtle
yet overflowing with sincerity
thanks for sharing

for how much
contextual depth, we lose
in translation)

Questioning
HAPPY FACE said:

James, your thoughts are very penetrating. One with insight can tell that you are a deep thinker, a motivator of action. This, my friend, is the perfect ingredient for the writer. Keep writing. You have much to say. Take care. Be safe. Carmine

War Song (Pawnee tribe North America)
James Michael said:

This describes my emotions on that day. There are many theories about that event. I for one couldn’t believe it. But there are immense studies to prove that it was real.

Great sadness today in America.

Thanks for that J. I may have to follow your daughter if I hope to retain even a shred of optimism.... Possibly earth will survive in some form once it reduces the feral species human to manageable proportions...

Good statement there - clear and unambiguous. Thanks.

Unfortunately we have passed the point of no return (the tipping point)...... would be easy to add \'unfortunately\' at this point - but mass human stupidity lead us here and the voices which could have saved the situation (many but not enough) have been ignored.
