Powerful write BusyB. In spite of the pain of the passed you have shown your resilience and come forward as a stronger person and that strength will always be with you taking you into a better time. Well done.

The wonders of what poetry can do for us with its cathartic ways. More especially joining in with the spirit of other poets who have trod a similar path of life, wherever they may be along that path, can be a reassuring, comforting place to be.

\'I forge my way through with positivity
I enjoy time with those who understand me
I have found a way to voice my life
Through the art of putting pen to paper
And I Won\'t let the buggers beat me....\'
Awesome!
what great energy to put out into the world, worded so relatable and sincere!
thank you for sharing, dear poet

Thanks, this happened 20 years ago. My brothers and I have learnt to live with it, even though it seems like it happened yesterday. X

how horrid, a reminder
that there\'s no Nightmare, as brutal and reprehensibly sudden: as reality..
\'Brutally they covered his head, with a strip from a brown belt
Their knives causing most of the damage
They throttled the life out of a defenceless
Family loving man
They insulted him with their careless actions
And left him to die, alone\'
I\'m so sorry for your tragic loss, I laud your bravery for sharing something so raw and personal, in such a frank and stark manner..
I pray the universe gifts you the strength to find a path forward,
you and the rest of your hurting family and friends..

A separate comment, so as not to pinch your \'reply box\' to Teddy!
Teddy knows all she gotta be panicky over is my singing! lol. You too, I hope.

It\'s understandable B.
Maybe think of who those b******s are who are trying to grind you down, as the saying goes. Is the fear of doing something, meeting someone, etc worse than actually doing the thing or meeting in-person?
Most people are more concerned, even if over-concerned, about themselves. Or just going on with their daily lives, I find.
Pep talk over! lol.

Good for you - I don\'t know why you left.
Don\'t worry - I\'m a notorious party pooper; but much poetry, for me, could do with a little less romance and a little more realism.
