Isis comes to mind goddess of moon and fertility, healing goddess of the night. This poem is seductive and most sensual in a nonsexual way. Very nicely penned

Tatiana Reymer The Goblin
sorenbarrett said:

An ugly beginning with a happy ending. We seldom acknowledge the good influence that someone loved can have upon us. A fun read with a moral that all children would be advised to hear.

The Winebag and the Death
sorenbarrett said:

I like this poem and its metaphor within metaphor. Bitter fate is reinforced with the idea of drinking and a bitter taste of the drink. Death seductive as a woman is seen up close as an ugly mug-snout repulsive and unwanted. Yet in another view this may be drink and the symbolic death one experiences in drunkenness passing on in a symbolic death of drunken slumber. Well written leaving the interpretation up to the reader.

There are stacks of wood in the wood shed here and someone has lost a hair that must be found. I search desperately but only found a red herring. A most intriguing poem that presented so many metaphors that my head is still spinning. I think I\'m in a house of mirrors here. No matter where I look I see a face looking back at me. Loved it
