The Wife of the Russian Coachman
sorenbarrett said:
A narrative well told that brings thoughts of a time past when candles were used and fires in the fireplace was practical rather than aesthetic. Nicely written in poetic style it reflects feelings of worry and preoccupation with the reality of the world and threat of being on one\'s own. Very nicely done

A winter sleigh ride sets the scene but it is the seven string guitar that raises from the grave in this poem. Yamando Costa comes to mind and his wide neck seven string guitar. A master at it I still hear the music. Well written and a Happy New Year to you

Snow Demons by Alexander Pushkin
sorenbarrett said:
This poem sets the wintery scene and as it gos forward it seems it gets more and more lost in the snow and whiteout of clouds. Snow demons set the stage for devilment. Nicely written. Happy Holidays
