What an endearing tribute to your dear Dad. I was a Daddy!s girl, along with my two younger sisters. All of us Daddy’s girls. If he’d had his way, none of us would ever had married lol. No one was ever good enough for his daughters lol. Lovely poem Jim. Hope you are ok.

A lovely autumn offering Jim. It has been cool here today. No change of colour yet. no golds and reds, just a cold and windy day. Hope yours has been good. Looking forward to autumn colour. So lovely to look at.

Thank you. I can so whole heartedly relate to this. Especially the sleep that does not come. Very nice.

Such a sad poem Jim. So many lonely people. It’s not just older people who feel lonely either. Young people can also feel isolated when living away from home. I sincerely hope you have family and friends who keep in close contact with you. We are very fortunate, still have grandchildren and their partners living with us. So difficult for young people to buy or rent these days. We live in a costly area, within commuting distance of London. Enjoy Sunday evening.

Bird song is so lovely to listen to Jim. This
poem is a delightful Saturday read. Another dull day here, but no rain. Eye is better, no more medicine, but maybe a glass of wine will help fix the other bits of me needing attention lol. Have a great day.

cancer killer
Dan Williams said:

Cancer has taken way too many people from me; mother at 36, father, at only 67, three best friends of forty years or more, not sure they will ever conquer it as we humans have polluted too many things, too many causes. Thank you for this.

Cancer is a curse for sure. I have lost friends and loved ones over the years. I was lucky enough to come through it myself, but what a worrying time that journey can be for all involved. It can strike at any time and any person. No one can pay their way out of this one. Felt this one Jim. Written from the heart. Another wet day here.

love hurts
Cassie58 said:

So true Jim. Love can hurt, especially if it isn’t returned. Unrequited love, many a film, book and poem have covered this subject matter. When the heart chooses , you can’t just switch off. I hope you have had a good day. Torrential rain here.

Very nice Jim. Love can be a one-way street. It comes from inside and does not need to be reciprocated. Love is for the holder, not the beholder.

Oh yes, so many pathways we have to choose from. Reminiscence of Robert Frost’s path less taken this reminds me of all the choices we have to make, and we will never know what might have been. Nicely written, Jim.

A beautiful song Jim. There is so much conflict in the world today, it is heart breaking. If only. If only our species could live in peace. Poignant words to go with your video. A lovely job. Have a wonderful Wednesday. My eye is much better, thankfully.

Wise words Jim, yet sadly some do not reach out when they need help. A problem shared is a problem halved. Hope you have had a good day today and maybe spent some time in your garden.
