That is one discreet gift and comfort of poetry. I can also relate with much of these lines, many of our physical ailments can disfigure us on the inside. I used to always wear long sleeves even in the heat of the hottest summer because of a damaged self image and actual physical challenges, whether it be weight or skin condition.

Life Was Perfect

When peace does not fall on our laps there should be some relief by stepping forward in peacefulness. Another small way to create a space for peace, I have found, is to be still and be mindful (the Apple watch helps with its mindfulness exercises) or something similar.
