Rotting Teeth, Unwashed skin
arqios said:

That is one discreet gift and comfort of poetry. I can also relate with much of these lines, many of our physical ailments can disfigure us on the inside. I used to always wear long sleeves even in the heat of the hottest summer because of a damaged self image and actual physical challenges, whether it be weight or skin condition.

Pain is Blue
arqios said:

It’s a living pain when they move on while you as yet haven’t began to make sense of it all. Deeply relatable.

Leaving You
arqios said:

The sadness makes it difficult. It can get so bad that changing schools, jobs and even towns may be helpful for a time, a new scene for a new dream.

I feel this on so many levels. You definitely need to do what is best for you. Being in that situation truly sucks

Can\'t Move On
arqios said:

Sounds like an emotional, relational pile up on the motorway 🛣 of life. Been there and with you vicariously. And hope as with former like experience the moving on will dawn one day like a blessing in disguise, without fanfare or grandstanding.

Dark Nights

There was a jump there from the shower to the front door. Hope no one stumbled in the dark. Quite resonant and heart plucking poem.

Life Was Perfect
GenXer Shamrocker ☘️ said:

I’m sorry for how you’re feeling. I hope you’re okay and know that this can be a beautiful life as long as you know yourself at your core and love yourself deeply. Curveballs will be thrown and it will rain hard. Dancing through the rain and coming out on the other side is a beautiful thing. You’re stronger and more resilient when you do my friend.🍀

Please, I Beg of You
arqios said:

When peace does not fall on our laps there should be some relief by stepping forward in peacefulness. Another small way to create a space for peace, I have found, is to be still and be mindful (the Apple watch helps with its mindfulness exercises) or something similar.

Yet we grow, to become what we were not. I mean in the sense of positively; growing; developing, etc in areas of life.
But you are young still - as your profile says.

My Funeral
arqios said:

That feeling does come on occasion and at times with variations from empty funeral parlours to streets lined with mourners parades. And it seems to be linked to the mood of the moment as well, sulky or feeling loved, even. Thanks for sharing.

Ignorance
arqios said:

Being \'ghosted\' and being \'canceled,\' those are things that are tough even to contemplate. They are modern terms for the age old feeling of rejection after being rejected. Thinking on tomorrow\'s hope.

Sometimes
arqios said:

Mad for all sorts of reasons, that\'s what we are. A whole litany of a normal person\'s \'madness.\' What \'s beautiful here is that the poetic persona is looking out of themselves and thinking of others. That is a real connection. Thanks for sharing.

Self Doubt
arqios said:

Oh, Mr.Not; this is a riveting read. The doubting of self is balanced by your internal gyroscope. Of course we know that we are not perfect, but our identity is not who others say we are. This is a thought provoking poem with much personal meaning. Thanks for sharing.
