SILENT SOLDIER
Cassie58 said:

And this scene was probably played out many times during the war. Letters and photographs of loved ones and sweethearts were so very precious. All that there was from home apart from memories. Very nicely penned but so very poignant. Touched my heart it did.

WISHES
Cassie58 said:

If some of our wishes come true, we can consider ourselves fortunate. I would imagine there are many coins cast in hopes that don’t materialize. I really liked your poem. It reads beautifully out loud.

Oh if only all those wishes thrived…. but then again on second thought not all our wishes are for our or others’ good. Provocative poem! Quite enjoyed πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•Š

PAIN
sorenbarrett said:

Poor self esteem can lead to feelings of being looked down on and feeling odd. In this poem pain leads to anxiety and wandering the streets feeling the object of other\'s eyes and out of place and withdrawal is seen as the only recourse. Well written with good rhyme.

Haunting in feel aswell as longing. It reads with an unfinished ending and this is as it should be. A most delicate and fragil wirte the leaves a broken feeling. Lovely
