Sadly this has now become all too common and is nothing short of a National scandal. Working people should be able to afford their rent. Our taxes aren’t being used wisely. A shortage of homes in a vastly over populated country. That causes stuff like this to happen. Tragic, at Christmas time in particular. Your poem touches the heart of anyone who has a heart.

THE SEAMANS MISSION

Filled with pathos. Reminds me of when my brother!s local was shut down. Grown men cried. It was their social club for years. I understand this poem entirely. The last two lines are brilliant.

THE OLD TREE
Parisab said:

A shading tree
Where once we loved
In thought I travel
Mind ungloved.

Beautifully crafted: the tone of this poem is stoic and heavy hearted like “The Old Tree” I hope that you will visit my poems about nature reflecting human emotions…

THE SEA COALERS CONVOY

I\'ll judge you just as harshly as I feel necessary:

I enjoyed the atmosphere of derring-do and community solidarity .

Can you reference the real happening for me, please.

A touching tribute to your Father. The passing of years may soften the grief but the love and the missing remain. Nicely conveyed emotion.
