Tariffs
2781 said:

This one is straight forward. I was thinking about the wine industry, and other producers that scale up to meet demand, then have a huge tariff put on them. Then after some years, they take it off again.
Money is the puppet master.

Tariffs
sorenbarrett said:

This in its literal sense I experience myself with constant costs. This may be metaphorical as well in that relationships have their tariffs as well that if not paid result in the same results of being cut off.

\"From the gutter to the gatepost,

You always were my friend.

At times I abandoned you,

Went on my merry way. \"

Beautiful poem 2781, thoroughly enjoyed the flow and your choice of words is incredible.

\"From the gutter to the gatepost\", A lovely phrase, it describes our lives so succinctly.

Thank you, I am what I am, and that takes many forms.
Proves to me, he can use us, but only on his terms.
I never could write, humbled at the thought, that only he could put into words, the things that I am taught.
His love is pure, his shining like the day, I thank him for all he is, and hope we find the way.

The only thing that may \'lead\' (should it be \'led\' in last line?) me astray could be Fido! lol.
He\'s all imaginary, but he\'s a talking, reading, pipe-smoking (no baccy in the pipe though) hound-dog!
