Your imagery is haunting. Kudos, I really wasn\'t expecting the twist. My deepest condolences. If there is a silver lining it\'s that you got or get to cherish those last months, and hopefully that makes the whole grieving process somewhat less difficult. 🤗 A natural process never the less tragic. Beautiful dear Tom.

A heartbreak of a poem. Making the absolute most of time in devastating circumstances. Those last special days. I found your poem very moving. Reminded me of my younger brother’s last summer.

Sounds like that was a hard pill to swallow, but you did it and gracefully. Keep up with it. 🙂👍

Oops, they will sit up when you get to the last line of the poem - the \'s\' word!
I was at a poem reading group. It got dull and dour though, e.g. here\'s Mrs X again, who will waffle on for 20 minutes of mumbling - no-one knows what she\'s on about! lol. Look out for dull poets.

I\' don\'t post here regularly any more and most of my work these days is comical verse (or at least I hope it is) so I\'ve only just cpome across your work. Well I have to say it is so refreshing - nothing complicated, not trying to be clever but written from the heart and each and every one is a joy to read. I\'ll certainly be returning to your work in the future and thanks for posting - keep doing so.

I can remember well this scenario. While most people are still enjoying the festivities , you have to man the office. Hope you have a good new year.
