There is something very special about being on your own in a favorite spot, I really get that. You convey the feeling beautifully!

How did you know, Tom? That time - The Chancer\'s Arms (I think), pint of real ale (founding member of CAMRA) and that book.....ah...memories (the fire, even).

A good dose of poetry goes a long way to cure the ill, or at least to make it bearable. Such a fun write to read, couldn\'t help but smile all the way through to that perfect punchline.

I have to say Tom that a change is normally as good as a rest. Not so sure in your case. The office sounds a doddle:)) I enjoyed the read. I always work at home and I am always busy:)) Enjoyed the read.

A lovely country walk, with your nameless dog, but so near to main roads. Just concentrate on the greenery and block the noise of the cars out. I enjoyed my visit Tom.

That dang whoosh of some cars on rainy days, when they go through a puddle and soak you. I\'m sure some do it on purpose. Doh!

Memories of ‘two hour’ walks through the hop fields of Kent with my then partner as directed by ‘Fieldcroft’, a column in our very local rag. Think Fieldcroft was a rotating file, and after what could have been the third rotation…time had marched on.. .. lost – arguments – out on that road, found the local hostelry and made up in front of a roaring fire and very warming liquids.
Bought it all back Tom, thanks.

Neat limerick, Tom.
