A lovely but most melancholic and sad poem of poor self esteem where value should be given. Nicely written

Im okay;
Amber D. Petty Patrick said:

Words cannot express how deeply, word for word, you have described my everyday life over the past four years. How i felt this, was truly heartfelt and understood. I can offer a little piece of advice from my own experience in this same emotion...keep your head up. Stay grounded. Do not stop. Keep going. If it comes, let it, if it goes, let it. And hold the faith... Your dreams are not just a dream. They are undefined goals. Define them. And then Just Do It....idk you. But I know you got this..thank u for these beautiful words friend. #BeTru2U

The moon yearns the sun;
sorenbarrett said:

This is truly beautiful the weaving of the yearnings and needs and the longs works so well. It is so nicely woven into a fabric. A fave

Unapologetically me;
Paul Bell said:

In the end, all you have is yourself, and sometimes that\'s not a bad thing.

Unapologetically me;
sorenbarrett said:

Being yourself has its benefits an its consequences but in the balance it is better to be oneself than a facade and phony. Nicely done.

All that matters;
sorenbarrett said:

A great message in this poem. We sometimes ascribe too much importance to certain things and ignore the real importance of life that we find in the common and little things. Well done

Always but never;
Paul Bell said:

I suppose it works both ways.
The ones out in front sometimes have to force themselves to perform.
The introvert in a way is usually the writer, the producer, part of the ingredient to success.

Always but never;
sorenbarrett said:

Feeling a part but not the whole is not necessarily a bad thing for we are all parts of something greater with an illusion of independence. The form of this poem is intriguing in the triple repetition of each line. Nicely worded and constructed building of the previous lines it culminates in the difference between existing and living. Well done

I’ve felt that feeling strongly lately… probably why I resonate with this poem as well. Yet, what helps me is dig into what I’ve loved in the past… sometimes I got to combine all the things I’ve love into one path… it’s a big road ahead for those who think

Existential questions in poetic form. You have become a song writer. A familiar song for many of us. Most lovely

Who are you;
sorenbarrett said:

What a beautiful message. Yes too many are steered into directions they do not wish to pursue but they should know the difficulties of success in pursuing what they want a child that wants to play in the NFL or NBA should know what it takes, one that wants to be a successful singer, actor, or artist should know what that life style involves. Informed choices and the freedom to make them is the key.
