Secret garden
L. B. Mek said:

\'The lawn is brown it holds a frown
It’s etched across its face
It’s looking back on fonder times
That will not be replaced

The soil is cracked it’s life force gone
Potential all bereft
The promise of future life it’s seems
Got up and left\'..
well written, thanks for sharing

\'I say the thing I really mean
but you still live there in the dream
the past solutions I can\'t change
but I\'m here on another day
Compare me not to who\'ve you lost
but look now to what you\'ve got
I\'m here with you my arms held wide
You shoot me down with hidden pride\'..
these lines say it all, what a great read dear poet,
I certainly can relate your worded frustration at trying to engage with someone wholly and them being too calloused and bruised from past disappointment\'s to be able to decipher: the veracity of my intentions..

I normally pass straight over unrequited love/misery poetry, but for reasons unknown to me I flicked back and sampled a couple of your back catalogue. Two things evident: you do utilize diverse subject matter in your poetry AND you haven’t been here for a very long time. So hope to see more of you now, but not the misery love stuff – It’s (unfortunately) a crowded field here.

Ha..Ha! Perfect poem depicting how badly patients are treated in the waiting room. When that happened to my kids, while waiting with me, I would get up and get in the face of the receptionist. It always worked as my poor kid was suffering, waiting to see the Doc. Good job!

You are quite right to being attention to such a prominent issue, whether this time of year or any other time. There are people who are homeless through their own acts or omissions; and then there are those who are there through no fault of their own such as war vets who had nothing to come back to. Very good rhythm and rhyme; potent message, a great write! xx

Such a fabulous description of hell! I love it; the way you describe not only the visuals; but the sounds and smells as well really bring realism to the table. Great work! xx

THANK YOU ISITU ~ For a very sensitive poem on the horrific massacre in NICE (France). Nice is a beautiful resort on the Riviera and the last place on Earth where on would expect "massacre by motor" just as planes were used in 911. There is no peace ~ there is no protection ~ we are all in peril from our neighbours ~ who can we trust ? Your opening and closing stanzas are very very haunting ! The songs of pain they reach up high # For those who were not meant to die # Again tears fall down from the sky ....... ! Thanks for caring ~ Yours BRIAN

I know about transport for London 😉
Very chaotic especially during rush hour.. Just remember questioning life while having to commute to work..

The London tube
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

THANKS ISITU ~ I OFTEN GO TO LONDON ~ and if I want to get from A (Acton Central) to B (Barbican) the Tube gets me there efficiently ~ economically and effectively. It is the World's No. 1 Tube System. However as you say "All Human Life is there". Every class colour culture cross-section and more close up and personal than a dance floor ~ especially at "rush hour". I regularly fall in love on the tube ~ but alas only between stops ~ because the Tube is Middle Earth and we are all transitory Hobbits. Your BRIAN

For if they don't and the change soon arrives..
Then tell me what good are these guns and knives..
It's not about rules nor is it about needing protection..
But true freedom, through love and unity for our liberation..

Your poem speaks volumes, you just inspired me to write a piece..

Thank you, I really like this one

Thanks for sharing a perfect "Fantasies of the Night Poem". The noises of the real world - postmen - milkmen - dustmen bring us back from Dream World into time & sense ! Most nights I sleep on my own - perfect opportunity to fantasise. I can empathise 'cos I meet them too - Knights - Damsels (usually in some form of distress !) - Talking clocks and the ubiquitous Flying Horse ! That was just last night. Howling dogs are the last straw - the mystic spell is broken ! I too - wash - shave and prepare for work ! I work in a College so (even in the day) I do meet Knights - lots of Damsels (most in distress) and of course Talking Clocks announcing the end of each period ! I am sure your Office is much less surreal ! Thanks fir sharing - it opened my mind ! Yours BRIAN
