Thanks again LB. My favorite Robert Frost quote:

\"Writing poetry that doesn\'t rhyme is like playing tennis without a net.\"

few people, truly understand
the historical and life-costly, morose
context
in the \'slight of word\', trickery
Robert Frost utilised
in \'The Road not Taken\'
and so frustratingly, it will forever remain
an admired poem, with a treasured
tag-line,
that most will misunderstand: but, sadly
that\'s, by design
as Frost\'s chose to showcase his intellect
than word, his essential wisdom: accessible...
that\'s that element of \'elitism;
in some poetry traditions, intended to keep
this wonderful vehicle we have
to disseminate, enrich and enlighten
what little useful insight, we glean
to those most in need
of worded gateways, to understanding
the commonalities in life\'s, complex difficulties..
and that\'s why, I personally
prefer writer\'s who - when necessary
will purposely, insure their wording is easily
comprehendible, while still maintaining
its poetic and artistic: integrity,
championing their poetry\'s
humane - quality, of humility
like you: dear poet
as your two poems today
word the message \'Frost - hid\'
in such a meaningfully accessible way:
*Delivery, Left Of Center
\'a path unwalked,
direction unto fate

A choice is made,\'

\'Lost in confusion,
distracted by tomorrow\'

*\'—redemption coming late\'
\'anxiety his lover\'
(there\'s such a profoundly compassionate quality
to the write\'s you choose to share Kurt
and they\'re often meaningful, at so many levels;
please, forgive me for once more
creating a fusion
of your two brilliant poems
just so that I can greedily/rudely
highlight my point)

The Cobra\'s Flute (+1)
L. B. Mek said:

so then, let\'s set alight our \'mojitos\'
and toast, life\'s scorching tattoos
as our memento, prizes - prices
for all-things, blossoming - out
from that foolishly drunken heart
we keep chained, far - far away
from alcohols, romantic overtones...
\'Too far from the mojo
—too close to the fire\'..
such a brilliant line, dear poet
this is what recycled anguish and pain
is supposed to - read, like
in its repurposed, poetic - phoenix
I think...

\'Of Human Bondage\'
L. B. Mek said:

\'preeminent\', is the key
see, I truly can understand
anyone that chooses to have a religion
and there is so many out there to choose from
like 3000 deities or more...
its just, when people \'find\' religion
they treat it like a baggage belt, at an airport
they\'ll join, dump all their worries in luggage\'s
then expect, a different - lighter, \'all issues fixed\'
baggage - to wait for them, on the other side
of their flight of prayer or worship...
but, that\'s just - \'glorified escapism\'
with chants, bells and hymns...
its not a permanent fix, we know this
because those same people
walk around even more vexed and prone
to emotional outbursts, than the rest of us..
why? because they buy in-to, that whole
\'preeminent - sales pitch\'
and expect miracles, to blossom from
airline tickets - of faith...
instead, if they simply accept, and manage
their chosen religion as \'another asset in their life\'
then it would never have become such a divisive subject,
I mean, we all \'have faith\' in our \'chosen\' banks
but we don\'t walk outside - rub the door for luck
and expect to win the lottery, do we...?
yet, if we ever - do, miraculously win
the lottery, we would \'seek advise and help\'
from our \'banks\'...
or, similarly if we\'re having a hard time
and we\'ve kept our end of the bargain
by \'maintaining a decent credit score\'
we can approach our bank
for a loan or access to financial aid, accepting
the interest rates as reality\'s, balancing traits...
that\'s the metaphorical difference, in mindset\'s
between those who can \'utilise their belief system\'
to maximise their experience of life
and those, who instead play the role of victims
in their \'human bondage\' - fifty shades of grey
distorted interpretation of a religion\'s capacity
to \'offer that essential anchor of love and support\'
in those dark and lonely moments of life...
(ok, sorry for the lengthy comment my friend
I think your words uncorked something inside of me
and my reply scribble just flooded out,
kinda crazy how you always inspire me
I\'m so grateful, dear poet
thank you!)

As Wishes Fade (+2)
L. B. Mek said:

\'As Wishes Fade\'
\'Carbon Dated\'
\'Prophetically contextual
—internally Divine\'
\'Words but letters
—in search of song\'
\'Tears…
watermarks of a dry tomorrow\'

\'At The Source\'
\'Irrigant
—of hope’s despair\'
\'Life is short,
Art is long\'..
(forgive me dear poet
once more I\'ve rudely
rearranged your masterful lines
but this is how your Poetry
expressed itself to me)
\'Irrigant - of Hope\'s despair
ain\'t that,
just the perfect summation
for all: Art...\'
Brilliant poetry, my friend
a joy to read!

Kurt,

• “As Wishes Fade”
• “At The Source”

As I inhaled these brief exhales of yours, I couldn’t resist my personal connection to them.

Not too long ago, when my body was lacking strength, a wonderful nurse told me to inhale and exhale every hour on the hour to regain my strength. I listened and now I’m physically better.

Well I’ve been inhaling all your exhales that I’ve missed during the past few months. By doing so, they’ve strengthened me physically and emotionally…especially your Dreamsleeps! Apart from all your other writings (novels, anthologies, etc.), they’ve become my favorites.

I would love to flood this comment ‘box’ with many well deserved encomiums; but I will restrain my impulse…suffice to say I’ve said enough.

Pietism Fatale (+1)
L. B. Mek said:

kinda crazy
just how far the intentioned goodness
of faith based, belief
has been distorted - permanently:
by zealotry\'s pietism...
to think, in the old days
theology - merely as an ideology
performed a minor miracle
with all its \'hell fire fear mongering\'
to unite, a callous humanity
from all the anarchy
and loathsome devaluation
of a life\'s worth;
and now
people\'s mistrust and hatred
of weaponised
divisive, organised religions
is delivering the herd majority
of society - back
to that nihilistic apathy: of life...
\'cyclical\', somehow doesn\'t do enough justice
to articulate
our capacity for self-destruction, anymore;
even those original chaos deities
probably think, we\'re the ones
a little too: crazy!
lol

White Dwarf
L. B. Mek said:

that\'s the serenity of anchored integrity
stemming from wisdom\'s
introspection - excavated, confidence;
where it feels like the world, glides around you
and you\'re speeding, while standing still
realising dreams, you\'ve yet to wish for
and all because, you\'ve gleaned that essential truth
of humility: above all else,
where acknowledging your accountability
of limitations, allows you
to surpass your wildest ambitions...
or if we had the necessary IQ to word it poetic:
\'Doing more with less,
all life from within
Doing more with less,
I qualified nothing
Doing more with less
—Nirvana begins\'..
(we need another word for the depths
you manage to imbue, in such few words
calling it brevity: would be, an injustice!
thank you for sharing and inspiring, dear poet)

Shallow Grave
L. B. Mek said:

\'there\'s a familiarity to pain
its warmth of suffering
can sustain us much better
than that cold neglect, we feel
at the mercy of enforced - isolation;
that\'s why some of us like the rain
to come in monsoon waves, recognising
its unyielding bombardment of tearful fury
see, because we know
its only ever, truly - over
when we can longer
close our eyes and remember
that tattooed scorching heartburn
of a reminder
that we too: once had it, that good...\'
(what can I say, oh wise poet
but thank you - again, for continuously inspiring me
and offering me a ladder to climb and grow)
a humbling privilege, to read your poetic genius
thanks for choosing to share!
