Fault Line
LaurašŸŒ» said:

Kurt,

ā€¢ā€Fault Lineā€

A ā€˜fault lineā€™ of life will either make us better or it will make us worse. It will be disruptive and cause changes. Upheavals, especially unexpected ones, may seem unfair, but theyā€™re not always dreadful.

ā€¢ā€œThe Last Mirageā€

Diving in all the wayā€¦
ā€˜for better or worseā€™ā€¦
as one of my physicians said!

I did a lot of pondering during the reading of your two intense poems. So much to think about!

Thank you for sharing.

Fault Line
L. B. Mek said:

had to read this two or three times and contemplate, why it gripped me with such intensity,
there\'s a sense of stunted despair in your lines,
like, even attempting to pretend and project a feigned sense of normality
could potentially become, that one step too far..
instead this words, seemingly represent a lifeline of rope, where
they allow us, to look at
than experience:
\'the tides of thirst,
the dam,
opened wide
ā€”for better or worse\'..
(a deeply layered write
beautifully worded
profound poetry!
thanks for sharing, dear poet)

Above The Beyond (Something For Laura)
L. B. Mek said:

so very true
(makes sense that we originally created music, before
we ever came to conceptualise letters and words
just wish, our education system was centred on that intuitive musicality of life
more,
than that alphabet we all require, to perfectly annunciate: our creative lies...)
this read definitely hit home, thanks for sharing Kurt

So very true Kurt, music releases us from the tensions in our world.

Bohemian Rhapsody is so good, we sing it in a choir that I am in and it is always popular.

Kurt,

ā€˜The minstrel frees the poetā€™s words
ā€”and drives the feelings homeā€™

Music and poetry are the two ultimate art forms...IMO. Your words have been freed and the feelings have been propelled beyond expectation.

Envisioning you, my dear poet, penning your special words while listening to Bohemian Rhapsody (one of my favorite musical pieces) is a gift in itself.

Thank you for your giftā€¦
forever to be cherished.

what exactly is \'Bent?\'
is it curved or folded
do tips, align?
or are they skewed
by gradients of Time? or
being subjugated by a wilful, Fate..
in which case, are we
Purposely, kept
in a state of chaotic Flux
so we don\'t recognise
that\'s our reflection: we\'re endlessly, Chasing...
(you\'ve done it again Maestro
you\'ve flicked your Pen
and got me scribbling my excited reply,
I\'m just grateful you don\'t charge us for the height\'s we reach, utilising that spark of Inspiration, you Gift us)
thank you Kurt, a Great philosophical head twister you\'ve shared

The Indian Sign
L. B. Mek said:

everywhere there\'s a few
\'like minded\' gathering of people
preaching to their own choir
creating an insulated cocoon of a \'safe space\' for each other, only..
you can assume, in short order
\'a pseudo aristocracy will manifest\'
from within that group
and those few, \'chosen\'
will devolve
fighting to keep that taste of power and influence, they now crave..
\'rinse and repeat\'
times millenniums, and spread it like a plague: conquering a planet
and that\'s why
anytime, we humans try to govern ourselves, inevitably
we end-up, sabotaging ourselves...

Sum Zero Sum
L. B. Mek said:

\'The voices of children,
our enemyā€™s shield\'..
it always, infuriates me
when so-called activist\'s (especially those opportunistically abhorrent, celebs)
scream and shout about things,
they know so little about, because they choose
to dwell in their ignorance, excuses
for their pathetic virtue-signalling actions..
they never want the detailed complexities, just the fast-food
quick fixes...
so they\'ll march against one Nations actions for retaliatory warfare
and yet act all oblivious, when the Opposition
purposely, literally: utilises woman and children, as Shields, for their war mongering Regime...???!!!
If we let it, the absurdity of modernity\'s reality will eat us alive: truly!
But, we were gifted this life and like the generation\'s before us, who also decried this hypocrisy of social righteousness, in this warped reality, of phantom equality in our so-called evolved civility..
But!
we must, find a way to survive
yes we do our best, to create awareness and help those by our side
but we can\'t allow ourselves
to be swallowed-up by the bleakness in our horizon\'s of blanket night,
we must prevail, to get a glimpse
of Aurora\'s streaking forgiveness,
for another chance,
another day
another taste
of this blinked existence, we call life.
(another inspiring set of lines Kurt
had me typing away my feeble reply, as soon as I read that last line..
thanks for sharing, dear Poet)
