Between The Lines (+2)

Kurt,

There’s so much weaving and unweaving to unravel “Between The Lines (+2)”…
a welcomed challenge.

Just Passing Through...
Kurt Philip Behm said:

The American West is being overrun by transplants from both coasts. They\'re
trying to dictate their misguided political views on people that have ranched and
farmed there for generations.

I\'m no threat. I just want to borrow their roads (view) for a while.

Thanks

Kurt

\"And The Word Was Made Flesh...\"
L. B. Mek said:

If we be made Perfect, in His image
then pray tell
why do we seek Wisdom, from outside
ourselves?
and if Religion is what equates to God\'s love
then pray tell
why do their crimes, taint our rivers crimson!
and if we must suffer
by other\'s interpretations of dogma
then tell me, why do we not pray
for them to be judged, quickly
and rid us all, of their malignant fallacies
so we may be finally free
to Question, flesh of our own fallibility
armed with Veracity\'s: holiness...
(a thought provoking wording
of pregnant brevity, Kurt
thank you for inspiring
my little scribbled reply)

\'—or ever let a sunrise become old\'
what a great line
and I liked the horse trot, beat
to \'The way west\'..
such a meaningfully fun imagining
of that spirited wild west, heritage
(or maybe I\'m mistaken in my interpretation)
thanks for sharing, dear Poet

Well written, Kurt.
I resemble the first poem. Produces a lot of heart break, but I have no regrets.

Through A Glass Lightly
Laura🌻 said:

Kurt,

The table is set and ready for the lunch we’re about to enjoy.
While I’m waiting for my aunt’s favorite Saturday lunch (a Margherita pizza with a glass of wine), I decided to read some of today’s posted poetry. I noticed your poem’s title…and here I am I staring at my aunt’s wine glass which she’ll soon imbibe its contents.
What does any of this have to do with your poem? Nothing! I’m just enjoying the coincidence of the glass and it’s timing.

A very interesting ‘Dreamsleep’…short but powerful!

Have a wonderful weekend, my dear Poet.

Kurt,

O\' the loving nightingale…
‘Beauty to beauty’ indeed.

Not only so many thoughts and feelings were evoked within me while reading your wonderful short but powerful poem; it also reminded me of Oscar Wilde’s short story, “The Nightingale and the Rose”…although a tragic fantasy story, it had many other themes to reflect upon.

Thank you for sharing.

Twilight Disconnect (+2)
Laura🌻 said:

Kurt,

• “Twilight Disconnect”
These nights are prone to get longer and longer.

• “To Glen Campbell”
One of my favorite artists…
obviously for his songs
and his
‘twelve stringed harp’….
(Thanks to my aunt for introducing me to that one).

• “A Silent Toll”
‘Are you everything you could have been,’…
Hoping to have the chance to find out.

Three great reads for this long night.

The vinyl record player is ready…

Fault Lines
Laura🌻 said:

Kurt,

• “Fault Lines”
A great title for your thought provoking poem.

‘Fault lines’ are created due to much stress.

The first two words really got me thinking.
These ‘Spiritual draftsmen’ may be skilled at drafting plans; but in the process, have they considered the impact of the outside forces which cause so much stress?
We must find a way to repair the incompatible views we share to save ourselves from a monumental collision.

It’s always a pleasure to read your work.
