I love the contrast in the first 4 lines, it creates such a mental image. A beautiful poem!

Dear friend, you make the intangible, tangible, with your beautiful words. My senses come alive. You have contrasted this nicely with the very sad state of our world today. Such is the dilemma of our existence. A great Write!

Painting The Wind
Laura🌻 said:

Dear Kurt,

A few years ago I was a guest reader at a local elementary school and had the privilege of reading the book ā€œPainting the Windā€ by Emily MacLachlan and Patricia MacLachlan.
A wonderful story about a boy who lives on an island. He wants to learn how to paint the wind. He learns by watching what other artists (who come to the island during the summer to paint) are painting.

I love the way you used the five senses to express your thoughts.

Thank you for sharing your pen, my dear Poet.

Laura🌻

P.S.-ā€œChain Gangā€ā€¦spot on!
…and yes, the ā€˜rich pull the strings’.
I wonder what I would do if I were Elon Musk? Just thought I’d share this rhetorical question with you.

Dear Kurt,

• ā€œThe Reasons Falterā€
You’ve raised the bar with the great questions you’ve posed. Much to ponder upon. I love the way your poetry challenges its reader to think beyond expectations and not to hesitate.

• ā€œGiving Allā€
I shall give it my all. I will ā€˜Write’…I will ā€˜Sing’…I will ā€˜Live’…and most most of all, I will ā€˜Love’. Thank you for your continued support and inspiration.

If I\'ve translated this correctly it means Find Life. I love the first stanza, forgiveness and passion, so important to life. I think we wade through that flood of life every day, at least that\'s my interpretation. A thoughtful poem that makes me ponder and use the old brain. Thank You!

I feel at a lost to review your poetry. It\'s so good but I don\'t speak latin that well so I\'m not sure what the title is. I only wish I was smarter! :)

Dear Kurt,

Your ā€˜Dreamsleep’ is powerful. It poignantly states how a sudden attack can change certain circumstances in a flash.

I love how you’ve encapsulated your message.

Dear Kurt,

ā€˜Aging Time’…great title as a reminder of the passing of time. Truthfully ten years ago I never thought about time as aging. As the years go by so does time; hence our time ages along with our years.

Thank you for sharing this ā€˜Dreamsleep’ gem.

Beautiful sentiment in this poem. I can truly relate, being of the older persuasion, the passing of time can grow so sweet. Thank you for the thought of the day.

Half Life
L. B. Mek said:

\'the future loses two\'
that\'s the problem
with the infinity in humanity\'s
incomprehension..
every factoid, is a thought away
from its future, as debunked theory
and so
our future, is an endless
Autumn, of assumption leaves
decaying
in the gaze, of belated realisation\'s
progress...
(just such a thought provoking write, Kurt
I couldn\'t help but try and scribble
a little poetic reply..
thank you!)

Dear Kurt,

You are super at penning *compendious and powerful writings.
ā€œHalf Lifeā€ is a perfect example.
I suppose we’re not the only ones aging…so is time.

Thank you for sharing.

Laura🌻
P.S.— *compendious is one of my favorite words I learned when I was learning the English language. I thought it was appropriate to use it in my comment to your poem.
