The Incarcerated Word (+2)

Kurt,
Three fantastic writes!
āThe Incarcerated Wordā resonates of whatās going on in our universities today!
āThe present now an echo between two liesā...
Powerful words with which I agree!
āAnd born I was despite myselfā...
This is a great line!
I enjoyed the reads very much. All three with powerful messages!

Kurt,
Incredible poems!
The first poem fascinates me because each time I read it, I have a different interpretation! After the first read, it felt like the first time I experienced a panic attack! After the second read, it felt like I was remembering the time I gave birth to my son where I almost died due to an anesthesiologistās error! There are more examples, but I wonāt bore you with them!
āStars & Stripesā...
Celebrating freedom!
I will never forget the night I disembarked the ship that brought me to America and saw the Statue of Liberty for the first time (and the Domino sign)!
āLast Tearā...
This one has several very personal meanings for me!
āCancerā...
This one is relatable to many of us.
For me, too many names to list.
Actually, at the moment, my 40 year old friend is receiving chemo treatments for breast cancer!

Kurt,
I enjoyed reading all the poems!
Of course, there are a few favorites!
I especially favor āInteresting Lastsā.
Iāve been good...
(so they say)
Iāve been bad...(so I say)
now I hope Iām of interest...
(We shall see!)
We can have lots of fun with words...
especially at night!
āHaving fun with words,
the party lasted till dawnā
Donāt get burned while seeking the light!
I like the structure of āOur Fated Selvesā and its relatable message !
Let us be aware of that āHangmanās Nooseā!
Excellent and intriguing poems!
Challenging reads...
to say the least!

I have a slightly differing opinion than GON (not that I believe his to be any less than my own). Art and politics are two things that cannot be separated, and although there are some pieces that express their political views through art, I find nothing inherently wrong or disparaging about it. Art can\'t be defined, it serves as a form of expression about our politics, culture, overall identity, and it exists to display many other ideas and concepts as well. Politics is simply another lens through which we knowingly or unknowingly create our art. To finish up my rambling, I have to say bravo, all these poems were brilliant reads!

Kurt,
Eight new gems. Brilliant writes!
Friends are worthwhile having...true friends that is!
It seems your tent has been pitched for quite a while! Lucky for us!
That one thing?...
TRUE LOVE...for me...
clear and specific!
āNever Destituteā...
Your gift of words enriches our lives!
āAll loneliness filled by pages lined with happiness and joy,ā
You are definitely a master of the word. Let that ink run so weāll never be alone! All it takes IS one word for new meaning to captivate us!
Are we really in a āComa of denial and no longer freeā?...
I suppose so...if we wish to bury our head in the sand!
