Sad piece of writing so well expressed - even though, like Fred, in my case love would be the reflection I see.

One thing about mirrors I\'m always curious of, is who\'s story is reflected back for us to see? The one we expect to see, or the one we want to see. Great poem.

Another great poem, Kurt. Reading it I can feel the pain, even though in my case, staring back would be \'love\'.

The Beginning More Important....
Gary Edward Geraci said:

Your singular \"beginning\" parallels the singular creation event of our soul in the mind of God. The questions, feelings, and reasons - always in the plural during our mortal existence.

This is a brilliant piece, Kurt! \"The questions more insightful than the answers\" ... one of several of my favorite lines of all times!

Good post Kurt. Each line is so true, and to steal words from that whomever wrote it, \"from every ending is a new beginning.\" That is my favorite, but all of your points are right on!

Kurt, while reading the poem, before seeing your answer to Kevin, in my mind is saw this trickle in the Rockies become a brook, then a river, then a stream, finally emptying into the ocean (womb).

What is beautiful with a great poem like this one, is that each reader can perceive it in a different way, maybe based on the reader\'s past and imagination.
Great writing, as usual.

This was absolutely gorgeous. A poem that leaves you satisfied for hours after it\'s reading. I can feel the replenishment when you intertwine natural elements with yourself. \"And She welcomed my rapids, to baptize again\". What a beautiful gift to be passed down. An understanding of the power nature can have on us, even though humans try so hard to separate themselves. Thank you, this poem made my day.

First Poem: Aristotle said it, Einstein said it, and now you.... Well written, you are in good company!
Second Poem: So true! And I think both Aristotle and Einstein would agree.

Agree completely with no.2 and no.3, Kurt, but have a comment on no.1.

If \'Eyes\' is representative for all the human senses, I agree.
If not, I don\'t agree, since blind people feel love, hate, and all the other emotions the same as all of us.
I take your poem to mean that there cannot be any emotion unless there is an experience.
