Somehow I don\'t think \"singularity\" is all that close, unfortunately. To me it would indicate fulfillment as a species. Enjoy your work, \'c\'.

Not alone,
not apart,
but woven
into the fabric

part of a much
larger we!
My favorite part of the poem.

Good write as a poem. I have to believe in a Garden of Eden for the Bible to make sense to me. It explains God\'s creation, \'original sin\' etc, seemingly in story-like themes. But not a fantasy for me.

Simples! Nothing in me brain-box to start with! Look, there\'s a \'thought\' *light-bulb lights up*. heehee.
But seriously, we\'re beings made in the image and likeness of God, is how I see it. No spooky E.T. business or stuff like that. Well, \'receiving\' from a spiritual or heavenly realm maybe. I mean from God.

Also - saying we\'re all God\'s children, in that He created all of us, I don\'t see Him as punishing us as naughty children.

Life

Of course it\'s easy for anyone to say \'A loving God exists\' when all is calm and cosy.
I heard a phrase from a church - bit strict one - The Lord intervened in that Mr X\'s wife broke her hip. Bit of a strange way to put it.
You see, I might think differently if I had a special needs child or something like that.Or to put it a bit flippantly - Dunno, I\'ve not been to heaven and back to ask Him!

You capture the immensity of the Universe so well. Even with high tech, humans will never know. Only our egos make us think otherwise. As you rightly point out, if we are one with the U, we might make less mischief here on this minuscule planet. You may wish to compare notes with my own \"Cosmic Cruise\". Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful piece, ever so true ending, why we continue to move ahead no one seems to be looking ahead. Scary stuff.

This pretty much says it all. We\'ve barely scratched the surface. And yes, why would a more advanced civilization want to waste their time with us until we \"all\" mature to a more universal social behavior. Great poem JG ; )

Simply put and thought-provoking. it\'s crazy how much things have developed over the years and what we take for granted now were not even in existence a few years back! Really enjoyed this piece :)

Accidental Poet said:

Granted, we are trapped within our own time physically. But what I find so appealing, is learning of other times and places. We are now in the age of technology and conveniences. I can\'t imaging how things would be 1000 years from now, and that\'s if we make it that far without destroying ourselves first. Excellent write Collin. ; )

Time Prisoner
Louis Gibbs said:

We find ourselves in different versions of consensus-realities over time as we progress in our experiencing ... true. I believe we are \"trapped\" only by our slow progress in evolving past the inability to recognize and accept our oneness. We continue on this cycle of experiencing until we do ... then can graduate to the next level of being.
Love your insightful poem, JG!

A fine write. Seems a sort of \'What if.....? poem. We can\'t reverse what\'s already happened; the present is here now; and the future is yet to come. That\'s how I see it.
