But At Least

Thoroughly enjoyed
When we can live with the least life has to offer
We appreciate the good times more
Hang in there
The good times are in the post

That frustration can get us in many ways but writing words on a page can ease the boredom. This time will pass and all will be well once more.

Yes long days of frustration indeed and thank you for versing the reasons why most of us are at this moment just trudging along -- but agreeing with Neville that time will pass and an end will come to this troublesome state of life. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Ah but it will, just you wait and see... you are not the only one who feels frustrated by all that’s going on... I suspect most folk are eager for a return to a sense of increased normality... In the meantime I enjoyed my introduction to your writing... Stay safe n well,

Neville 👍

At sea

Well, I am left to guess what happened to the ship to make it sink? It is short, and leaves the reader guessing...or this is a symbolic short poem to reflect a sinking feeling the author is trying to depict... Nice!

This is the life of a cutter. Interesting to cut on the chest. I love the way feelings or lack there of are described. Nicely crafted.

To Wear a Smile

Wow! I have never understood this concept of cutting oneself, but I know it is very common. I actually know a couple of people who used to do this, and I can't seem to wrap my head around why and how this effective... I would rather have a very strong drink myself... However, this poem is dark and puts the reader to guess what is making this person hurt so much... Great Job!!!

Wow! and I thought I wrote about the darkness... You have this character, (hopefully not you) in such a trapped downward spiral from everything and everyone around him, I can actually feel the pain as I read...

THANKS WHIM ~ for a very elegantly written poem pulsating with rhythm and very clever rhyme ! The contents however is less sparkling ! The poem describes a downward descent for helpless.to breathles and finally "The time is now ~ I'm ready to end this" Hope your depression stops short at that. I've had a busy week ~ but it's now FRIDAY (5pm and i'm home) so the cloud has lifted ! LET THE WEEKEND BEGIN ! (Hope that lifts you up !) Yours BRIAN

In review of this piece, I feel what you are going through, alone and stuck in a situation of which you have no power over. I like that you got right to the point. Excellent!

I am no expert, but you poem reads effortlessly and beautifully. The message is clear that outwardly you appear o.k., but inside you are in overwhelmed with turmoil and depressed. I love "my beaten soul shakes and cowers."
