TEN HEALTHIEST UK UNIVERSITIES ~ BRIAN

My grand daughter has just received 3 unconditional offers - she is over the moon - yes it is available to all but at a cost. I used to be a guest lecturer in Health Care Law for nursing graduates and it struck me then (and more so now) that we were training them to such a level that their expectations were raised above the role. \'I\'m a graduate nurse - I didn\'t study to this level to empty bed pans\'

HERBS & SPICES ~ An ABCDarian POEM ~ ANGELA
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

HOLA ANGEL ! Nice one pleased you are getting some nice comments to repay all your efforts in the Herb Garden ! As Uncle Mike says there is scope for another which I will post later in the month ! I love BASIL and will include it for Uncle Andy !
MANUEL was supposed to be German but they settled for A Barcelonean. I liked your choice of HERBS and the way you got round Q & X ! always difficult in a ABCD Poem and XYLOPHONE is not a HERB nor is XYLEM even though its part of a Plant !
Abrazos y Besos a la Distancia y Todo de Mi Amor ~

Of those spices there are only seven that I have not used in my cooking at some time.
I notices that Basil was missing is that still stuck in the hotel in Torquay?

Why did I have to overdo it? A recipe said \'add a little spice\'. Erm, I added some of all of these! Bleeuurrghhh? Or Yummy?! heehee.
Wikipedia does not know any X spices. There\'s Xanthan gum - whatever that is?! They got Mickey Mouse tea too, or is that a con?!

THE SPIRITUAL DIMENSION : A DODECAUNI ACROSTIC : ANGELA & BRIAN
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS DIAMOND ~ I appreciate them because they are stated in a very rational and intellectual way !
The HUMAN BRAIN is very different from the Animal Brain. We are capable of ABSRACT THOUGHT and CREATIVITY which results in Language : Music : Art : Philosophy : Science : Religion etc. This has enabled us (through Technology) to adapt to the environment anywhere on Planet Earth and even Outer Space (The Moon etc). My World view is based on the BIBLE (The Word of God) which begins with the WORDS ~ In the beginning GOD created ............. ! So I see Beauty ~ Purpose ~ Order ~ Design in the Physical World and in Nature. All the other Planets in the Solar System are very different and would not support life ~ especially our Neighbours Mars & Venus ! In my Philosophy I believe that God created Man with a BRAIN capable of Understanding the Spiritual Dimnesion and communicating with God through PRAYER. This is what motivates ME I have GOD in my life. I was raised in a Chritian Family so I observed my Parents at Prayer & Bible Study and I have always attended Church (Evangelical) which is an imporatnt facet of my Life. My Study of Science & Technology has confirmed my Faith ~ OK. I do not have my Head in the SAND ! Also I have to accept the whole teaching of the BIBLE which include SIN & HELL etc I apologise if you found it offensive. ATHEISTS like Richard Dawkins believe in a purely MECHANISTIC UNIVERSE with no need to bring A GOD (Divine Being) into the picture and there are many such People who are Members of MPS. There are also many like ME who do believe in GOD.
A Poetry Forum is always a FORUM for deabate and rational discussion. HOWEVER we can agree to differ and agree to respond to other aspects of our Poetry such as NATURE ~ Human Activity ~ Beauty ~ Pollution ~ Human Nature etc on which we do agree ~ OK.
Thanks for your comments ~ Yours through the Beauty of Poetry ~ BRIAN

Aww, I shan\'t be disappointed if you (either one of you) post something every day.
I don\'t write every day - some days nothing; other days 1, 2, or 3 poems maybe.
I seem to get longer too - unless it\'s waffle! I found hymns with 30+ verses. That\'s given me an idea... heehee.
It don\'t take too long once you get inspiration. Don\'t ration us! lol. Ya won\'t have over-stayed ya welcome.

I agree it is demanding trying to post one a day - as a result mine are getting more consistently short and I\'m relying on the whimsical which can take just a few moments.. as you long as you keep posting albeit not so often.

Tamara Beryl Latham - The Poet said:

Wonderful write, Brian and Angela.
I\'ve not seen this particular poetic form before, but I loved the mirrored message your poem delivered. I have also not seen snowdrops. At first I thought they were the same as snowflakes, until I looked at the video. Snowdrops are actually beautiful.

Thanks for sharing
