I\'d more than likely walk in a big circle and end up in the same place Andy.
It\'s my sense of direction.

Each step is a notch toward another milestone. That appears to be all that can be done for the moment. Hope there is, for later leaps and bounds. A stepping start is better than none. Thanks for sharing, Andy. /Rik.

Good write Gold.
I\'m reading about some mounts in the Antarctica, and some terrible journeys.
On one journey - why couldn\'t they leave the penguins alone? They wanted some of their eggs for research. A chapter is called \'Never Again\' by one of the explorers.
Why does mankind have to turn up, and mess up things sometimes? Nature is mostly all OK until man turns up - like I did in 1066. Doh!

\"it\'s a long long road
with many a winding path
that leads us to who knows where
we\'ll get there\" (Hollies-he aint heavy)

Wherever it is we\'ll get there... and I know that we are likeminded about it and will be thankful.

Yes, an extremely long road behind us tow, going back to the dinosaurs, and in front of us two. A blip in the road at 1066, when I turned up! lol.

At that level and layer it is fine and also in others, one usually influences the others. Let us make the most of each day as they are all special.

L. B. Mek said:

Amen!
that\'s the way, Andy
(personally
when i get up in the middle of the night
the cracking bones, keep me company
and the bruises, let me know
I\'m still here
on my own two feet, giving it
all I got
and so i, slide
a little
sway, a tad
shaking it \'all bout\'
then I offer the universe
a glimpse of a smile
sharing
that private joke, where
I amuse
and it affords me
a few more, cherished
breaths..)

Well fair play to the pair of you, at least you both know there\'s someone there to oil your hinges when the creaking gets too spooky.

Growing old together is and has been our motto, my wife and I. And these days, living on the third floor minus an elevator, we feel this truth each time we engage the stairwell. A lovely poem that is close to home. Thanks for sharing. /Rik.

dusk arising said:

Well I guess I\'m the awkward one because the biggest \'wonder\' of them all for me is our heartbeat. That throbbing in the chest of every living being. What is this amazing life giving pulse we take for granted.
It\'s my supreme wonder and without it - we are nought. We may be able to bring it back sometimes but we cannot create it other than to procreate, which in itself is another wonderful thing.
