Love Of Life Sonnet.
orchidee said:

A fine write Gold. With \'soon depart\' I read an awful piece about having a pet. It said that a pet usually departs before we humans do, so we have to face that heartbreak. But we enjoy pets for many years usually, while they are living.
Not departing too soon there?!

If Music Be...?
birdbird said:

I love this poem so much. I literally have never listened to or known any of those musicians. But I understand the life behind music being the being that lives to make your life have being.
All my poetry is inspired by music.
Not directly.
But by the fact that I havent read other poetry before. and I don\'t read books.
So ALL of my inspiration is music.
And I can guarantee my taste is soooo different to yours. Which means that even if your poetry is inspired by music, and someone else\'s is too, and mine is. Theyre all different. Bcs everybody has a different music taste.
Love the poem.
Just posted a decently long one like 5 minutes ago. And an entire short story.
I suggest trying out stuff like collab poems or short stories. It put me soooo out of my comfort zone. And it was sooo fun too.
Have a good one!

Sound Of Laughter/
orchidee said:

In some places - an unwritten notice - \'No laughing, please; not even a cough during services\' Doh! In one place (true) with an Organ Recital: \'We respectfully request no applause at the end of the recital\'. Why not? Someone might wake up from their grumpiness? But they couldn\'t stop us shaking hands with the organist afterwards, and speaking to him/her - to show the congregation was actually alive?!

A lovely poem Andy and you are right there is nothing more joyous than the laugh of a young child or infant. It tickles the very innards.

Don\'t forget the blues, Bossa nova, and on and on enough material for several poems here. Nicely and most tastefully presented this poem of classical music education stemming from a past growing in knowledge. Very nice Andy

A fine write Gold. Yes, as I say, I have all Stockhausen\'s music so you need not listen to a note of it! Pity that\'s a fly in the ointment. Music was there - then he came along and ruined it?

Ride Back St George.
Doggerel Dave said:

He rescued a maiden - anyone who volunteers to emulate his exploits had better be prepared to do more than that.
Fun write, Andy.

PS: Are there any maidens around left to rescue? (minor adaption of a hoary old joke !)

I think today it would be George and a big broom, starting at number 10.

Indeed we all need a St. George especially now days and I always wonder what metaphorical dragon he slew that was so fierce that it had to be cast metaphorically with scales and breathing fire. Well written Andy

Nicely said Gold a nice commemoration for a day many would do well to remember. We take for granted this planet and don\'t treat it very well much of the time.

Valkyries.
Thomas W Case said:

Epic and immersive—music here becomes pure cinema, summoning myth and motion in the mind’s eye.
The grit is in that awe: the steady, lifelong surrender to something larger than thought.
