I enjoyed your poem, virago. I also sometimes wish i were a child again. Back then, my father protected me from any danger.

A thought I’ve pondered many a time they say hatred and negativity aren’t natural - they have to be taught! Children see the good and fun in the world until were taught otherwise love your rhyming style!

Thank you

It is that \"What if..?\" question again the most unanswered question in the world.
What if you hadn\'t written these words would i have thought of the questions myself.
Thought provoking write.

I know you are calling it comical but there is something melancholic and other worldly about wandering around in markets at night..... you caught that!

What If Heaven
SLR said:

I understand the \'profound knowing\' you\'re talking about existing in heaven, although I do tend to agree with orchidee. If God allowed humans to go to heaven, I really can\'t see him taking away the basic ways that humans have lived (and know)to enjoy and process the world and others around them. It would be very disconcerting.

I see what you mean at the end. Yet I\'m sure there is feeling, singing, knowing in heaven, enhanced to the heights of perfection!

Very expressive and great images - I don\'t see homelessness.... just reflection and wonderful background images of the coffee smells and subway tiles....... Loved it........ did I read it correctly?

I like it, the first half I am thinking of the commute and then the line about sleeplessness and the pack and suddenly its about homelessness which is quite a contrast.

A fine write Virago. The pic matches too. It seems to me like you\'re in love, yet don\'t want anyone to be TOO near you.
Being in love (what would I know of it? I keep swooning. lol) lifts you to a higher plane.

hi virago , a brilliant piece of writing ! i love this , truly! :-) i love your ideas throughout this , the man above the cloud with his horse , the glowing rose . its like something out of a fantasy book , a man above the clouds , great idea. it sounds to me as if the rose pulled him in and she wasn\'t a nice rose after all ! the ending caught me off hold a little , i wasn\'t expecting the rose to eat him lol.. i think you wrote this very well , it seems like a very interesting and engaging piece of writing , very enjoyable

I like the fact that this is an \"Inspirational\" poem. In particular the lines, \"Progress comes with pain\", the last two lines of how \"your future self \" gets fed by \"your present self,\" and how \"in order to grow\' one must be willing to accept some \"hurt.\" All true statements. Life is a series of changes all based on past experiences. Good work and an interesting poem. - Phil A.
