Touch of Madness

Your writings and artwork
show us how gifted you are!
I could never write
as well as you do...
...and your artwork...
I wouldnāt even attempt it!
You can reflect...
but then leave the dark!
Go toward that ray of light...
YOUR SON!
He is your LIGHT!
Itās a difficult journey...
I will admit!
Do it! Do it all for HIM!

Nothing more therapeutic than letting it all out in a poem, Luke. Keep writing, my friend.

Excellent poem and artwork Luke! It\'s hard for all of us to express emotions, trust me. Someday you\'ll find that special someone and before you know it, you\'ll be so full of joy, you\'ll be writing so many love poems, we\'ll be going nuts! LOL

Ah - such a warm message to a well loved son - with a Dad like this I should think the lad will not stay long away from that rock his loving papa is chained to. A delightful read about letting go what my Gran called the apron strings.

Wow Laura!, I\'m honored this poem effected you in such a way! I figure it\'s a win when I write something that invokes an emotional response of any kind.
My son liked it but I don\'t think he fully understood what I was saying to him in it, maybe he will appreciate it a lot more when he\'s older
Thank you so much and I hope your kids like it too

Luke,
I enjoyed this read tremendously!
As a mom, I can relate to it. Itās difficult and painful to let our children go! But then I think ...if we gave them wings to fly, we have to let them go and hope for the best!
Your poem has touched me and is pulling at my heartstrings! Thank you for the gift! Your illustration is heavenly! This is definitely a favorite that I will definitely share ... with my children!
I couldnāt write a better one! Kudos to you my friend!

Luke,
Your illustrations are extraordinary!
Liked your writing a lot.
You do have a way with words !
Often we cannot study
to find the answers.
You will conquer!
You will find
enough answers to
make that cheat sheet
for your son!

Luke,
Sometimes I canāt stand being me either...especially when those panic attacks take over!
Good thing weāre brave enough to seal that hole...until next time!
I do agree with Martina that this writing reads like a diary! After all, if what we write is based on our experiences, it is a diary!
The illustration is awesome for this great piece of writing!

Doh! I had a sense that this was where the hatchet was going to end up in this poem, before I read the last line!
I was about to comment \'As long you don\'t bury it in my skull!\'

I find both religious people and there poems very poetic I\'m just disconnected on believing personally. I\'m glad you relate another trait we share. They seem to be stacking up lol

When I starts off me hymn-poems (fairly frequently!) I admit I\'m fairly evangelistic in some of them. But as you say, not to force it on folk.
When they hears me singing, they may not think of heaven, but may think of... erm, the other place! heehee.

...I am a good person and I do right by others...
You said it best!

Whether you believe or not is never an issue with me, we all go our own way, I do believe but will not thrust it down peoples throats, if they want to discuss it I will so do but only as a discussion not to try and change others. All I think we need to give to each other is respect - no religion is needed for that.
Good write poetry can transcend many beliefs.

Wonderful write Luke. I\'m sure it\'s two-way. Well, cats can be man\'s best friend too maybe, in different ways! But it\'s said that dogs are. I\'m bit sentimental too. Ahhh!
