Everyone admires the potters vision, but there’s another at play, hidden from the view, that your title has so poetically acclaimed. I have spent many hours staring at the wood burning in a fireplace and am always awed by the multitudes of images I envision.

Pottery and ceramics, among the highest of the arts. You capture the process and the uncertainties beyond the initial concept. Your piece an education in itself. Kudos.

Demeaning Meaning

Great read - I really enjoyed the ride. For me, though, I may well get something out of the piece unintended by the author, but where\'s the harm in also asking the originator for additional meanings?
Language is pretty inadequate when dealing with multifaceted topics - even poetry, especially poetry.

I do see quite a few posts on MPS where the author wiggles and waggles so much around a subject that they defeat it with educated twaddle. Result... shrug of shoulders and pass on by. What others read into such pieces is for them alone.
I totally agree with your amusing post today.

I offer, as a talking point, the thesis that UFO’s are not Aliens but abandoned space probes that have been flying through the galaxy for millions of years. When they zip into the heliopause of a solar system they wake up and do what they are programed to do.
I have written two short stories exploring this thesis.
Brink of Perdition and Cat and Mouse

Fantastically fun, I\'m not sure what I do. Probably offer them a cuppa of my favourite brew and even give a biscuit or two.

Your fun poem does nothing to convince me that the BBC is not going down the gurgler if that\'s the best they can come up with as \'news\', John.

Yes there are a few places up and down that stretch of coast a bit like that. Airbnb has a lot to answer for. Though I must confess I\'ve utilised....
To you my only redeeming feature is that I\'m well past the party scene...
A clear picture anyone could relate to, but especially me...

Yeh - it’s necessary to impose some artificial system of measurement in order function in this current existence, but to probe time in the abstract does my head in (Aussi?). It is there with infinite space….sorry, I must close down and refocus..
