A good poem on the surface but in its metaphoric depths it rages. A poem that anyone that has a relationship and has tied themselves to another should take to heart. A definite fave

Knight’s Tale
sorenbarrett said:

Always loved the legend of Arthur and the metaphoric messages woven into the tales. Each knight a virtue. Here in this poem some of this carries through and in good rhyme and meter it becomes personalized into a single individual. A wonderful write.

Knight’s Tale

An interesting write on a moment in history, written on the positive of those days, but there many darker days for the knights, nicely expressed and written, enjoyed the read

Brings me to the opening scene of the film with a similar title, where a young Heath Ledger (r.I.p.) takes on the “identity”/station of his freshly deceased liege, Sir Hector. A very moving poem of an oft glamourised period of our past history. 🙏🏻🕊

A wistful longing fills the heart with this poem\'s reading. Nostalgic with a tender sadness it echoes its message with each verse. Like a stone thrown in a pond it ripples outward. Although I am not much for repetitive rhymes in this case it enhances the message and like those concentric rings grows larger with it progress. It is an echo of the heart. Very nicely done a fave

Ah, the atmosphere of poetry! I too sometimes converse with crows; but only when they initiate the dialogue🙏🏻🕊️
P.S. The title reminds me of that long ago story \"Where the Redfern Grows.\"

Normalcy
arqios said:

The norm and what is considered normal rarely find themselves exactly on the same page. Strange even if there is some logic in expecting them to be🙏🏻🕊

Normalcy
sorenbarrett said:

What a great question What is normalcy. Beautiful images in this poem that represent the ideal of the normal world. Normalcy is so variable and depends on what you measure it against and is always from your point of view. Very nicely stated in this poem.
