A mirror in disguise
L. B. Mek said:

Brilliant!
(or, a disguised mirror
relenting to fear\'s, lament
rehearsing, that battle cry
eye to eye, a witness
to her own, worth
who cares, if her grace
blinds those, in-to wilful ignorance
sunrays, do attest
she does so effortless, soar
high above the herd
where clouds, cushion dreams
as hope\'s, lullabies...)

I don\'t like movies
L. B. Mek said:

I like your wordplay, yes
although, being born is more \'winning\'
a raffle ticket, only
we don\'t know what prize
we\'re starting our lives with..
and
as for movies, I too
have got tickets to some shody
works, but
have stubbornly stayed to finish them,
I remember once, me and my friend
playing cards
with our sides facing the screen
trying to make the best of it..
it\'s ended-up as a good memory
so I guess, it worked out
lol

L. B. Mek said:

there is promise in our disquiet
allows us to ponder, chaos\' whisper
and there is, chance
in our dispirited, frame of mind
for in lethargy\'s stillness
we may be granted, some awareness
we need only, separate
our two burdens, keep one
to grow stronger beneath
and allow ourselves to heal from the other
as soon, as we can:
\'The blood of my pain on your hands
The weight of my fate on my back\'..
(forgive me
I couldn\'t help but try and poetically
respond, to your somewhat abstract
yet, immeasurably relatable poem..
what a great read!
thanks for sharing, dear poet)

Where did the good go?
Rocky Lagou said:

Wow a very pertinent message dear poet! \"It\'s really hard to explain how I feel\" is so relatable. This reminds me of a Lorde song called Mood Ring in which she pokes fun and satirizes the whole idea of us being unable to detect our emotions and finding hope in all the trendy things like astrology and yoga so on and on. I\'ll leave a little excerpt: \"Ladies, begin your sun salutations. Transcendental in your meditations (love and light) You can burn sage, and I\'ll cleanse the crystals We can get high, but only if the wind blows (blows just right) I can\'t feel a thing I keep looking at my mood ring … Tell me how I\'m feeling (floating away, floating away)\" Anyways, great poem! 💖

Where did the good go?
L. B. Mek said:

change can arrive, far too sudden
at times
while we\'re recovering
from whiplash of one unexpected development
another one, lines itself up and takes aim...
still, that\'s what our anchors in life
are for
for when we need to reach-out
and hold on
to something, anything
that can helps us, withstand
those hurricanes of change, in life..
(a good write, and relatable to most I feel
thanks for sharing)
