Och aye - your makar does what good poets aspire to do - navigate through a complex reality in as rich but concise way as possible,
Enjoyed the read, mate.

A poem of a bard. It speaks of his role and importance in the telling of stories, the evoking of emotions and imparting of wisdom. Cast in Scotland it gives a particular flavor to this poem of the mystical, historical, and for many the exotic. Very nicely done, my friend With lines of beauty and poetic artistry.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Inverness and Edinburgh, Scotland. Visited Drumnadrochit, on Loch Ness. We also spent good tine in London, Bath, Stonehenge. Wonderful trip…all of that to say, the spirit of the Highlands is in this and this speaks eloquently of the makar! Well done, friend! 🌹👏

I read this poem a second time out loud. It reads so well, the sound of your chosen words flows smoothly and the imagery is beautiful. Scotland is a magnificent country with breathtaking scenery. All those lochs and glens and history. Plenty of stories there. A fine piece of poetry arqios.

Nature has an amazing capacity for endurance against the odds. That is what I see in this poem. Resilience and strength. Nice poetic expression.

Beautiful!! Such a great metaphor and as you put it symbol of perseverance. I have watched lichens for years on rocks that they paint with their patterns. Very nice.

Can you register the form? In terms of the way a picture gets painted, a tale gets told this seems, in general a more satisfactory tool.

So peaceful that for me to break the silence......
