Thanx CB. I\'m constantly re-learning stuff that I thought I already knew. Keeps me on my toes though.

Here is where my education, training, schooling, logic and common sense met at a 6 way intersection. Stranger danger wasn\'t at all helpful i in its extreme form.

Hi L. B.
I appreciate the time and thought that your put into your response. (I read your comment twice.) Truly poems can be interpreted in many different ways and to be interpreted at all is a compliment.

Face it
L. B. Mek said:
problem is, dear poet
as a consequence of modernity\'s progression
\'seating on the bleachers\'
is becoming a viable option for far too many
and thus, rather than be inspired by your wise, challenging words
purposed to be engaging and inspire
I fear majority, will read them as reinforcement
for their choice to withdraw themselves
from society\'s battle fields
but you see
having a customised utopian-like
self-secluding civilisation
devoid of fighting mentality\'s
is all fine, until
fate, plants an invasion army
at our gates
and then our collective option
would be to open and submit
without even challenging our leadership\'s decisions;
maybe
something like being caged in our
homes for two and a half years
on the premise of a virus
that more than half the world withstood
without barely pausing
to acknowledge its impact
let alone four rounds of enforced injections...
and watching-on as the world
says nothing about its origins
or any action taken to prevent it
from happening again?!
(well that or all-out anarchy
insuring we make those dystopian
movies
a reality)
So yes
\'Face it\' is a great message
sadly, I fear its true message will be lost
to modernity\'s, trepidation seeped translations
(forgive me for my lengthy words
I lack the intellect to refine my thoughts succinctly like you do)
thanks for sharing

Why get angry?

When we delay anger is lost,
The poem tells that clearly,
These four lines admonish
To quit anger via calmness!

Are you lonely
hzugman said:
Thank you DAL. I\'m trying to expand my poems from love, romance and reflection to delve into other emotions. Your kind comment has encouraged me to continue on that path (at least for a while because I really like love).

I love how simple yet impactful this poem is. It is a very interesting thing when you learn something new and then have to move forward \"unlearning\" what you already knew. Thank you for sharing this.
