Friendship of 2
Goddess of the Mist said:

I enjoy your poetry!
I recently read that if your mind and your heart are in conflict (mine almost always are) then go with your gut. So far it seems to be in my best interest.

\"together facing every obstacle, every trap\", how true dear poet of the strong bond of friendship. Who can understand the chemestry that binds such opposites together. A good write my friend, and so very true.

My Biggest Fear
Bella Shepard said:

How very wise, the message of this poem. As we race through life we too often pay ourselves little heed, our lives are far too busy. But when the business of life slows down, and the demands are no longer there we begin to contemplate the life we\'ve lived, and can come to understand and I think respect the person we see in the mirror. Yours are words to live by, at no matter what age.

Dear friend I just realized that when I first read this poem I wrote a comment, but must have forgotten to hit send, guess it was a senior moment. You poem speaks to me of the possibilities of new beginnings with each sunrise. Each day is ours to make, the cycle broken. Beautifully written!

No matter the cost.\"

I think these lines are absolutely gorgeous--there\'s such a kindness, hope, and gentle yet powerful trust in the words. Thank you for sharing:)

Dear poet this is such a wonderfully, intuitive write. The last two lines are food for the soul that I hope everyone will feast upon. Such a world we could create if ..... This is truly a fav!

Diving into your collection of poems. What a kind sentiment. Agree 100%. If we all cared for our fellows, nothing evil could ever happen.

I need to follow your words. I am my own worst critic. Very hard on myself. Others believe in me, more than I believe in myself.

Burning Souls
sorenbarrett said:

This started with such an obvious but neglected view \"do we live in the past if we look at stars\" It left my mind wandering. Then with your next lines it took my mind to another place. All this was cognitive but the next stanza took me to an emotional level. This shifting of levels was very nice and formed a completeness. The last stanza tied it all together. Well done

This poem is so eloquently expressed, and read aloud even more impactful. I love the analogy to the stars. Though the light we see may have been extinguished years ago, it still reaches our eyes and burns bright. Loved it!

so relatable, a good read
thanks for sharing
(the very act of looking
is to witness history, in the making
hence why we require awareness
to distil the moment from that forest
of sensory chaos
we recognise as existence
, pain and hurt
existing, in each second
either we\'re heading to that inevitability
or recovering from having survived it, barely
so those rare gifted moments of peace
we learn to cherish, hesitatingly..)
