Lover\'s Plea (abecedarian format)
Teddy.15 said:

Wow Micheal you are on fire my friend. Absolutely beautiful.

Open yourself to wondrous possibilities

Permit then yourself, no pain to inflict

Quarantine your heart, protect it from sorrow

Realize please darling, love is so great

Surely, you’ll see that dreams of tomorrow

Tempt us today, to alter our fate

I just love this. May she know because if not it\'s a loss. 💖

That was a fun write. NYC sounds like a dangerous place to be walking around in - My special invisible protector worked well during the fortnight I was there - picked one up at Grand Central station...😂

Cursed Loneliness

this is so much more than what it say\'s on the tin .. or in this case, the title .. absolutely nothing to dislike .. in fact much to the contrary, there is so much to like .. the tale you told was told perfectly just perfect for the run up to All Hallows Eve or Halloween .. and also, the body of work was aesthetically pinned to the page .. loved the format and font too .. Bravo Michael .. Neville

Loneliness can be seductive. In this case, you went all out! Technically, the night is our companion! But it can be a harsh one! This is right up my alley!! Loved it!!!!

This is such a heart wrenching read
Hopefully you find a little consolation in the justice you have done such a tragic event
The content speaks for itself
The rhyming and rhythm are phenomenal
A message well received
Can\'t really find the words so I\'ll leave it at thank you

Such a poetic sense here your first stanza is truly beautiful, and so the rest. I couldn\'t pretend to imagine what you went through on ground zero up close and personal, I can only say I am so glad you are here to tell your vision. Kudos dear Pop64. Absolutely not easy to write and as a reader not so easy to read. You made it home! 💖

Absolutely amazing! What a great tribute to a day we all remember! A tragedy! You made it out alive because you\'re meant to be here! And, our job now is to honor those who didn\'t make it!

Be One This Day (9-11 rememberance)
Bella Shepard said:

Such a fitting and beautiful tribute to those who were taken most cruely that day. There is no rhyme or reason in a tragedy such as this, as to who does, or does not survive. So many circumstances put people in a certain place at a certain time. The old adage \"There but for the grace of God go I\" comes to mind. We are fortunate indeed, to have you wonderful verse here dear friend.

Apology to Martha (all Beatles\' Song Titles)
Bella Shepard said:

You are a poet after my own heart. I was in late grade school and high school at the height of the Beatles explosion, and came under their spell. Had all the albums, saw \"Help\" 4 times in one sitting, back when they didn\'t kick you out after the first show. I had Beatle Boots, the cap, Carnaby St. fashions, the works. Even had a door length poster of Paul McCartney in my bedroom. Got to see them live at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, 1966, and the sound system was terrible. Now that I have confessed to being a Beatles junkie, I have to say this poem is a true gem. You\'ve captured everything in my favorite song titles. This is a stroke of genius. Thank you for this trip down memory lane, it was a blast!

The World Needs Poets
AuburnScribbler said:

This emphatic, cosmic boom like poetic mission statement, is masterfully penned, and I wholeheartedly agree with every word.

Let all poets, endeavour to paint more colours into life, in both to further our enjoyment and understanding of it.

Bravo, and I hope that all is well.

The Craven Raven
AuburnScribbler said:

A lovely two stanzas here Pop64, brilliantly written.

I really like how the comic tones stated in your lines, suggest that a \"mysterious strong swagger\" from the raven, could actually be a decided \"lonesome nervous freeze.\"

Bravo, and I hope that all is well.
