Wow! this is a wonderful example of metaphor in each line that proclaims the search for a love and bond that reaches beyond time and earthly bonds. It has some magnificent lines:
\"Love has been a weathered coin in my palm
flawed, cheapened, tossed and called unlucky,\"
What a great analogy
\"promises like paper boats that sank
before the river learned my sorrow’s weight.\"
Another great metaphor in the same stanza
Such poetic lines of heartfelt desire for a a true love not just passion with lines like:
\"someone who reads the margins of my silences
and finds the sentences I dared not write.\"
Something I can feel and see figuratively and physically a really great set of lines
The whole next stanza is most poetic so well said. I must say there are few poems that I am jealous of but this is one and wish that I had written it. A definite fave.
