Very heartfelt and, the answer to your question in your comment, no. They don\'t. Well put, and your note asks a great rhetorical question to drive the point home. Well done! ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ‘

The fire of anger burns a firebreak preventing love to spread. Both are fire that fight each other leaving only ashes of what\'s dead. Such great metaphor that plays off of each other in this poem. Beneath the surface great truth and wisdom of emotions out of control that leave devastation for both the hater and the one loved. Burning down one\'s own house is not a good resolution. Very nice a fave

Liberation
Cassie58 said:

We develop our insecurities and demons over time. To be liberated from all and to experience life to the absolute maximum is a dream for most people. That freedom comes with confidence and strength and maybe prayer plays a significant part in it for those with a strong faith. We have one life, most wish to live it to the full. I hope you achieve your aims. I enjoyed your words.

Such sadness in this poem. It reminds me very much of my visits to the nursing home to see my aunt. Old ladies sitting in chairs, gazing out of the window , expressionless. No visits, no love in their lives, waiting to die. The end of the line. If it was me, I would pray for my heart to stop. Powerfully delivered, with such a sense of hopelessness. Well done RIS.

A sad poem of avoidance and the consequences and if life is all that is desired it works. This poem sets the mood and leaves a sense of hopelessness. Very well written
