It Was The Striving

Very well written write reflecting on the thoughts and emotions of having dreams and aspirations, always having something to strive for, you get a sense of hopelessness at the end, that there are no more dreams, just getting by, loved the read

I heard the end of this poem before it arrived. To look up and say I made it this far is wonderful but to say it is over is another thing. Complex emotions and thoughts fill this poem and leave a feeling of nostalgia and sadness.

The poem effortlessly pained a picture of melancholy. I am not sure if my interpretation is right.

Lovely poetic expression here. You took me back a few years. A most enjoyable poem and the imagery and pull on the emotions works so well. Great job Paul. May those dreams last.

You reminded me of a spring garden. We are on the cusp of soring. Awaiting those spring flowers to show. Lovely poem. Have a great Thursday.
