A Silent Soul
Tristan Robert Lange said:
Priya, this poem is stark and sorrowful, as it should be. Each stage of life unfolds like a quiet indictment...soft in tone, sharp in truth. You’ve captured the silencing of women with haunting metaphors (“a room without window,” “native nostalgia”), and the final line is both devastating and reflective. This one has impact, my friend. Great job. A fave. 🌹👏

This is quite the haunting, yet quiet parable...innocence undone by what it couldn’t foresee. The dew, the thorn, the touch...it’s sensual and sorrowful in the same breath. A delicate, devastating piece. 🌹👏 Well done, friend.

Let Me Live in my World

A country lass of pure a beauty, without the regalia of royalty, her own woman, her own path, as was the way of the Greek philosopher. A beautifully crafted poem, tenderly expressed yet powerfully perceived. Excellent.
Kind regards,
Tony.

Incredible story. It left me stunned and reflective. I enjoyed it from the beginning. Then, the final ending is tremendous; it splits me in half like a sword. I\'m amazed. Thank you so much for sharing. Best regards.

Well that\'s a write of beauty, around the honesty, desires, deceptions, loyalty within human relationships, so well crafted a pleasure to read

Masked in metaphor, dipped in rhyme a most magnificent poem sublime. Very poetically written this poem in its brevity conveys feelings of human relationships their purity, innocence, desires, deception, broken bonds. So well conceived and portrayed in wonderful natural images. A definite fave

Let Me Live in my World
Soman Ragavan said:
There are stark contrasts here. “common country lass” versus “queen.” “borrowed glass” is mysterious. What is the exact meaning ? Glass symbolizes fragility. There are comparisons with buds, lotus and the lily. One thing we will notice with the lily is the sharp contrast between the mud that feeds the plant and the beauty of the flower. Though the plant lives off mud, it produces striking flowers. “Don’t love me” are devastating words…. We often hear the opposite : crying to be loved. Here, there is a rejection of love. Perhaps this comes from deception or bad experiences. Choosing nostalgia : insisting on living in the past. “build my utopia” : another indication of refusing evolving reality and taking refuge in dreams. Dreams are secure because they are fixed in time; they cannot be altered.
