Quietude (+1)
L. B. Mek said:

we all need something or someone
to help us
find our North or South
in life
only then, can we set a direction
with hopes
of finding, some form of salvation..
a thought provoking read,
thanks Kurt

Circulus Quadratus
Draven said:

I love that line, a circle squared from the inside out. And the difference sometimes between what we love and what we need. A lot to think about in just a few words. Nicely written :)

Nocturnal Mystery (+1)
L. B. Mek said:

I never blame people
for endlessly, seeking distractions
alternative being
relentlessly seeking, second chances...
(A write I relate with
at such an intimate level, dear poet
great wording as well)
just in case
let me take this opportunity
to wish you and your loved ones
a very Merry festive season
and a peaceful, New Year
Thanks for sharing
all your great reads!

\'Upon A Midnight Clear\' (+1)
L. B. Mek said:

\'Years add together
with hope on the run\'
(do you too, get a shock
at that grey haired reflection
every morning, reminding
our youthful heart\'s
there\'s a reason, we\'re
rinsed-out, of all ambition)
such a poignant write, thanks Kurt

Wildcards (+2)
L. B. Mek said:

\'our minds
have been, sentenced
we no longer dream\'..
so very true, dear Poet
nowadays, all we\'re left with
are mirages, behind flickering
eyelids

Kurt,

Two very meaningful and special writes. Faith is my guideā€¦more today than ever before.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts so cleverly expressed. I especially like the ending of ā€œCheckmateā€ā€¦
ā€˜all thoughts zero-sumā€™.

A super couplet.

Are you having a conversation with Saint Thomas Aquinas?šŸ˜‰

Kurt,

Iā€™ve actually been hoping for this poem ā€œDreamsleepā€.

A magnificent beginning to your poemā€¦
and a promising ending which makes me look forward to many, many, many more ā€˜Dreamsleepā€™ poems youā€™ll be writing.

Thank you for sharing your amazing gift.

Thanks. No dash because the meaning IS the magic. They\'re not two
separate things. For brevity\'s sake I omitted the IS.

I have 4, and I hate to brag, but Braden tests as genius. As a 7 year old, heā€™s hard to stay ahead of. He loves mechanical things and can do the most complex Lego arrangements that leave me wantingā€¦

Kurt,

ā€¢ ā€œCreationā€™s Tearsā€

Before I read your masterfully scripted poem this morning, I heard the devastating news about the deadly massive tornadoes. It truly saddened me . Each time something like this happens, it makes me appreciate my life moreā€¦no matter the pain and the heartaches.

ā€¦and I believe God is still crying, IMHO; this also saddens me.

I DO appreciate your poetry more and more each day. Thank you for sharing.

It is true they were fought in the name of God but we know it was really fought for wealth power and land or in modern times oil and minerals. Great write though if only the wars could be decided more sensibly say on a chess board.
