and we\'ve allowed ourselves
to be caught-up in the nets
of life\'s unnecessary, distractions
since we were, but tadpoles
looking up, at those shorelines
to our evolutionary dreams..
(another thought provoking write Kurt, thanks for sharing)

Safe In Our Beds (+1)

Kurt,

So true and spot on are your words…
‘—the soap of despair’.
Definitely cannot ‘wash away loneliness’.
You have beautifully expressed that feeling of loneliness. The best we can do is to carry on and do our best with whatever is upon the path we must travel.

Thank you for sharing your amazing poetry. It’s such a pleasure to read whatever you ink. There’s so much to learn from you, my dear Poet.

Laura🌻

P.S.-I have so much admiration and respect for our soldiers. We cannot forget the sacrifices they make for us so that we can to be ‘Safe In Our Beds’.

Blind Side
L. B. Mek said:

yup, I too have felt
a vacation\'s blindsided, curse..
she left, for a few weeks
relaxed in Canada
and I, barely got a few calls
for a quickly whispered, hello
upon her return
she delivered her loud and clear
farewell..
decades later, and I\'m no longer bitter
I just hope, she\'s doing well
(a write I could relate with easily, Kurt
thanks for sharing)

Brilliant!
that first stanza, should be memorialised, sculpted
on a wall
in every city, in every language
and maybe even, tattooed
on the surface of the moon!
Thank you, for choosing to share
your poetic Genius, Kurt
I read and try ever-so hard, to learn

Final Draft (+1)
L. B. Mek said:

be it fable, allegory or parable
its only Hubris
that has us convinced, one
is any better than another
in reality, we each know
the mystery in our chosen Art
is not in any
Grecian myth or Theological \'trinity\' lore
rather
its, in the magic of the reader\'s Perspective...
we could imbue love in every syllable, and
still have a Nero or Hitler
warp it, into a cut and paste
defiling of our inking intent..
we\'re all a morbidly, vilified Nietzsche - in the making
it but takes, a betraying sister
and sinister ill-timing of political climate,
to demean
all our endeavours and hopes, into mere futile
graveyard crimson tears
of posterity\'s: poisoned ink...
(sorry Kurt, not seeing your write\'s as often these days,
that\'s why my comments are so delayed,
but its not just yours;
so I guess its just that our timing
is no longer in unison, a shame)
thanks for choosing to share, dear Poet

\'A jazz musician
wonders back\'..
Ha! seems Autumn\'s melancholic vibe
got us, thinking alike Kurt
just accompanied a write
with some soulful Coltrane, this morning..
thanks for sharing, dear Poet Supreme

A Last Dance (+1)
L. B. Mek said:

\'Her steps become a
garden path
her breath a fragrance
o’er the hills
to dance with future,
present, past
and spin each partner
—time undone\'..
if only, it was that easy
but still
what a beautiful image, to ponder
and wish for, my friend

Faith In The Wind (+2)
L. B. Mek said:

I imagine if Walt Whitman
was to rewrite
his ode to his beloved America - once
\'of the Brave\',
reflecting
on the embattled Nation\'s, current state
he would write words similar to your poem, Kurt
and maybe title his lifetime\'s book
\'tears of concrete\'...
(oh, but how Grotesque
we\'ve warped, that Nature
he so humbly, adored!)
