A powerful call to arms. A battle cry against dependency in following the mob. A wonderful write of having the courage to be your own captain and sail your own course. Lovely

So true that we hold onto past garbage that would be better ejected but remains protected. Some sad memories of the past better left in the grave. Well stated

A interesting concept that deserves some contemplation. This may be true on many levels. We make the same mistakes over and over, we revert physically and sometime mentally as we age. Very nice

This was an interesting read as the title suggests, as we get older we revert more back to behaving as we did as a child, we go forward in life and then we make the return journey, enjoyed the read.

I imagined seeing choreographers and dancers moving fluidly, captured in a Degas painting. All gone. All great artists. I sense regret as though opportunities were not taken when they could have been. A lovely poem with fine imagery.

In The Flatlands Of The Soul
Cheeky Missy said:
The carrot before the ass, hung just out of reach to keep him chasing forever what he never could attain. And yet we were born to run, but not in vain. Ergo the question begs the answer which is not so elusive as we like to claim. Beautifully rendered with a delightfully haunting poignancy and superb imagery.
